Holcim Philippines Inc. is planning to make available its one-day concrete SuperFast(SF)Crete outside the National Capita Region to support contractors looking to participate in government road repair projects in other urban areas and help lessen disruption to commuters .
The company recently held a webinar to promote SFCrete among road contractors in Metro Manila, who expressed strong interest in using the building solution in their projects. The company has plans to offer SFCrete to contractor partners in Davao and Baguio, who are interested in lessening closure time of thoroughfares due to repairs.

With SFCrete, roads can be reopened in 24 hours after repairs compared with regular concrete, which needs three to 14 days for curing.

Payroll, HR solutions in high demand
Local software company tHRead reports that since they made their Payroll and HR management platform available for a 60-day free trial period in March 2020, they observed a 20 percent increase in the number of businesses that signed up for a paid subscription, compared to the same period during the previous year.
The platform allows users to seamlessly and easily process payroll, monitor timekeeping, and manage its staff and employees, among other functions, digitally.
tHRead attributes the uptake in inquiries and signups on their platform in recent months to the current need of businesses to implement remote work options, despite an ease in quarantine protocols issued by the government. As businesses start to realize the immediate need and benefits of digital innovations, old business rules are now being replaced with digital solutions all to remain competitive and resilient in the face of the current crisis and disruption.
tHRead offers businesses, particularly MSMEs, tools that optimize business and administrative processes. It replaces several old and manual practices with convenient and digital solutions concerning employee management, HR, and payroll functions.
