PayMaya’s workplace programs cited by LinkedIn, Anvil

    PayMaya has been cited by global technology firm LinkedIn and the local Anvil Awards for its trailblazing efforts in creating the workplace of the future today amid the challenges brought by the COVID-19 pandemic.

    PayMaya effectively utilized a variety of digital tools and programs that allowed for higher employee engagement, accelerated business growth, continuous learning initiatives, and recruitment of top talent.

    LinkedIn recently featured PayMaya as one of its success stories in employing data-driven and scalable tools particularly in the areas of talent recruitment using LinkedIn Talent Insights, learning and development aided by LinkedIn Learning, and gauging employee pulse through its people success platform GLINT.

    These pioneering efforts have generated for the company as much as $213,000 in savings for talent recruitment, higher overall learning and engagement scores for employees, and a 50 percent drop in attrition levels despite the constraints brought on by the pandemic.

    In 2020, PayMaya registered a GLINT engagement score of 80, which is higher than the 79 benchmark score for the top 20 percent of companies globally.

    PayMaya also received a citation from the 56th Anvil Awards organized by the Public Relations Society of the Philippines for its employee communication portal VHub, which has become the central platform for all PayMaya employees to receive critical work information and policies as it began shifting to remote work in early 2020.

    PayMaya also received Anvil Awards for its #OneAgainstCOVID19 fundraising campaign to help over 50 organizations raise money for various efforts to address the effects of the pandemic, as well as its LGUs Embracing and Accelerating Digitalization  Webinar series in support of the digitalization efforts of the government.

    4As Philippines welcomes 2021 board

    The Association of Accredited Advertising Agencies (4As) Philippines welcomed its newly inducted board of trustees during its first general membership meeting for 2021.

    TBWA\Santiago Mangada Puno chairman and chief creative officer Melvin Mangada was sworn in as chairman while Grupo Agatep president and managing director Norman Agatep, and Seven AD chief executive officer and chief creative officer Teeny Gonzales were sworn in as president and vice president, respectively.

    Other officials are  Anna Chua-Norbert,  board secretary;  John Lucas, treasurer; and  Alex Syfu , corporate comptroller.

    Forum on pandemic held

    Epidemiologist Dr. John Q. Wong and other health, communication, and public service experts, led  discussions in a recent webinar titled, “Epidemiology for Communicators: Telling Stories of the COVID-19 Pandemic in the Philippines,” organized by Epimetrics, Inc. and Probe Media Foundation, supported by SM Prime Holdings, Inc. and the National Resilience Council .

    The partners and technical experts held the webinar to help build the capacity of communicators to convey risk by relaying epidemiologic information. Effectively communicating risk is critical to keeping the public well-informed and promoting safety in the community.

    The speakers delved into the concepts of epidemiology and public health in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic and shared their thoughts on the importance of proper risk communication as the nation continues its ongoing battle with the pandemic.

    Another point of discussion in the forum is the expected roll out of the COVID-19 vaccination program in the Philippines.
