    SM opens first mall in Zamboanga

    SM City Mindpro opened its doors in Zamboanga City, on Tuesday, December 8, bringing great shopping, leisure, and entertainment to this beautiful western Mindanao city.  It is SM Prime Holdings’ 76th supermall, the seventh in Mindanao, and the first in the Zamboanga Peninsula region.

    Strategically located in a 13,078 square- meter site along La Purisima Street and Campaner Street in Barangay Zone III, SM City Mindpro will serve shoppers the Zamboanga Peninsula including those from the provinces of Zamboanga del Norte, Zamboanga del Sur, and Zamboanga Sibugay, and the cities of Dapitan, Dipolog, Isabela, and Pagadian.

     MakatiMed opens Wellness Center

    Makati Medical Center recently opened its MakatiMed Wellness Center at the 7th floor of Ayala North Exchange Tower 1, 6796 Ayala Ave. corner Salcedo St., Legaspi Village, Makati City.

    Designed to provide a convenient and comfortable facility for consultation, diagnosis, and outpatient procedures, the Center, according to MakatiMed president  and chief executive officer  Pilar Nenuca  Almira, “caters to every individual (pediatric and adult), and was set up to preserve the good health of patients, for early detection, and for ascertaining the diagnosis of possible illness.”

    Safe Christmas shopping at The Outlets

    Shopping at both The Outlets at Lipa and Pueblo Verde is sure to be safe as both are masterfully designed and professionally managed to adhere well to public health codes.

    The Outlets at Lipa is located in LIMA Estate in Lipa-Malvar, Batangas while the Outlets at Pueblo  Verde is located in  Mactan Economic Zone (MEZ) II in Basak, Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu.

    The Outlets have a sprawling open-air format, allowing for social distancing so visitors can better appreciate the fresh air, surrounding green parks and landscapes, community art spaces, individual storefronts, and al fresco dining.     Samsung provides aid to families affected by Typhoon Ulysses

    Samsung Philippines extended its help through free services to the residents of Marikina City affected by Typhoon Ulysses.

    Thirteen washing machines were deployed to offer free laundry services for families and residents at the Jesus Dela Peña Barangay Hall in Marikina City. An entertainment system with smart television and a sound tower speaker was also installed to provide entertainment while they wait. A product check-up booth was also set up to offer free evaluation and discounts for restorations on any Samsung appliances.

    The campaign ran from November 19 to December 2  where Samsung was able to help over 1,000 residents, processed almost 7,000 kilograms of laundry, and performed over 70 free check-ups on different appliances.

    SMC nears completion of P352M  housing community

    San Miguel Corp. is nearing completion of a P352-million sustainable community in Sariaya, Quezon, site of the integrated agro-industrial complex the company will build.

    Some 127 families who relocated from the town’s risky coastal areas have  transferred to SMC’s 5.4-hectare San Miguel-Christian Gayeta Homes.

    Apart from the 450-unit housing complex, SMC has built the Sariaya Fisherman’s Dock, and the San Miguel Market to provide families with the means to thrive and develop resilience in the face of challenges.

    Each housing unit in the community, built under Housing Land Use Regulatory Board (HLURB) standards, has a lot area of 54 square meters that can fit a bedroom, toilet and bathroom, kitchen, dining area, and loft capability.

    The community has an overhead water tank with 136,000-liter capacity, a dedicated sewage treatment plant made of natural reed beds, a multi-purpose hall, park, daycare center, livelihood center, e-library, and a clubhouse consisting of covered basketball court, multipurpose hall, and playground garden.

    FedEx supports SMEs

    FedEx Express recently discussed at the Philippine Economic Briefing, how the company continues to leverage its extensive network and logistics capabilities to help Philippine businesses – large and small – build resilience and grow in the post-pandemic world.

    The Philippine Economic Briefing is an annual gathering of Philippine government officials and senior executives of several major US companies with operations in the Philippines.

    Mark Shorney, vice president for operations, FedEx Express Southeast Asia, cited the need to help enterprises address various logistical challenges such as reduced cargo capacity, uncertain demand, and the need to help businesses tap into the accelerated shift to eCommerce. Shorney underlined FedEx continued commitment to its customers in the Philippines, as it marked its 36th anniversary in the market with a  $30 million investment in the Clark Gateway facility.

    Alongside its holiday preparations, FedEx is reinforcing its capabilities to support shipments of COVID vaccines worldwide.

    FedEx has the largest cargo fleet of airplanes in the world, an established healthcare logistics network of over 90 cold chain facilities, and the development of technology-based solutions like SenseAware for time and temperature-sensitive shipments and a dedicated healthcare team. It has the flexibility and customized solutions, including charter flights, refrigerator trucks and trailers, warehousing, thermal blankets, and temperature-controlled containers, to help safely move temperature sensitive shipments, such as vaccines and other bioscience shipments, around the world.

    Skyrocket Studios Partners with MoEngage
