Isuzu Philippines Corp. (IPC), the exclusive assembler, importer and distributor of brand-new Isuzu commercial vehicles and light commercial vehicles in the country, swept all truck sales categories in 2020, making it the country’s number one truck brand for 21 consecutive years and number one in light-duty truck sales for 22 consecutive years.
In 2020, IPC sold 2,322 units of its N-Series light duty trucks, the highest volume equivalent to a 53-percent market share in Category III.
IPC also led Category IV by selling 1,064 units of its F-Series medium-duty trucks, a 38 percent share.
In Category V, IPC’s C- and E-Series heavy-duty trucks dominated with 320 units for a 35 percent share.
Combined, IPC’s overall commercial vehicle sales in Categories III, IV and V accounted for 3,707 units, or 45.2 percent of the market share.
Hajime Koso, IPC president, said the company is confident of its truck lineup but that it is ready to introduce new products as the demand changes and increases.
