Hyundai Asia Resources Inc. (HARI) is poised to launch in 2021 four models to beef up its lineup despite dampened demand due to the effects of the new coronavirus disease 2019 on sales.
These include two facelifted sport utility vehicles (SUVs); an all-new SUV under a nameplate of a Filipino favorite, and an all-time favorite family van. The were not identified.
HARI bared the plans at its participation at the Manila International Auto Show where it also showcased its current lineup of vehicles: the Starex; Accent, Hyundai Kona, Reina and the newly-launched Venue.
HARI also featured its fleet of commercial vehicles, led by the HD36L Maxculado, County premium mini bus, H-100 Modern Jeepney Class 1, HD50S Modern Jeepney Class 2, and HD50S Modern Jeepney Class 3 which are meant to modernize public transport and to reinvigorate commerce.
Ma. Fe Perez-Agudo, president and chief executive officer of HARI, said the company’s participation themed CONNEXT at the auto show kicks off HARI’s celebration of 20 years in the business.
Starting operations in August 2001, HARI has grown Hyundai to be in the top five bestselling vehicle brands in the Philippines.
