    Cebu Pacific flies COVID vaccines to Tuguegarao, Zamboanga

    Cebu Pacific carried COVID vaccines to Zamboanga and Tuguegarao  on March 5, 2021. The vaccines are the first to be received by said local destinations.

    The vaccines arrived at the CEB Cargo warehouse at around 10:30 p.m. on March 4. After standard screening protocols, all 35 boxes (17 for Zamboanga, 18 for Tuguegarao) were stored in a 20-footer refrigerated carrier reefer van, equipped with cooling systems, to preserve the condition of the vaccines. A total of 21,000 doses were carried by CebGo, the operator of Cebu Pacific’s turboprop fleet.

    Upon arrival in Zamboanga, the vaccines were turned over to the local government for proper handling, in preparation for distribution to medical facilities. The shipment for Tuguegarao is estimated to arrive by 3PM this afternoon, to be followed by similar releasing procedures.

As a public service with the widest domestic network, we will do all we can to help ensure the timely and successful distribution of vaccines across the country, as we all work together to pave way for the recovery of our economy,” said Alex Reyes, president and chief executive officer of Cebgo.    

    SM inks partnership with UN Women’s Empowerment

    SM marked a milestone for the National Women’s Month as the company signed the UN Women’s Empowerment Principles (WEPs) during the launch of Women at Work pop-up market on March 5 at SM Aura Premier, making SM the largest homegrown company to sign the WEPs in the Philippines.

    Globe bags Gold for Star Wars-themed campaign at prestigious Tangrams 

    Globe bagged the Gold award at the 2021 Tangrams Strategy and Effectiveness Awards for its Star Wars-themed campaign revolving around two boys building a multi-dimensional in-home experience for their hearing-impaired friend. The campaign was launched to support the opening of the final Star Wars film, “Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker” in December 2019.

    NESCAFÉ Plan bags Grand Anvil

    Nestlé Philippines is the winner of the Grand Anvil presented at the recent 56th Anvil Awards of the Public Relations Society of the Philippines.

    The Grand Anvil was bestowed on the NESCAFÉ Plan, a long-term program of Nestlé Philippines to help the country’s Robusta coffee farmers raise their yields, incomes and quality of life, while promoting increased local coffee production and the growth of the country’s coffee industry, within the framework of sustainability.

    Under a banner initiative of the NESCAFÉ Plan, Project Coffee+ involving 1,500 farmers in Bukidnon and Sultan Kudarat, production by the participants has doubled, while incomes have tripled.

    Nestlé Philippines increased its local buying of Robusta coffee beans in the past crop year by 27 percent.
