Alsons retains A+ rating

Alsons Consolidated Resources Inc. (ACR) has maintained its PRS A plus with a stable outlook issuer credit rating from the Philippine Rating Services Corp. (PhilRatings).

The rating was in relation to the first tranche worth P1.5 billion of the company’s commercial papers program of up to P2.5 billion that it registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission last year.

PhilRatings said the rating signifies ACR’s “above-average capacity to meet its financial commitments relative to other Philippine corporates.”

Other factors that were cited for the high credit rating are the company’s positive growth prospects in Mindanao and its ability to create joint ventures with notable partners.
