Malaysia-based low-cost carrier AirAsia Berhad has completed the rollout of its logistic services in key cities in the Philippines.
Teleport, the logistics venture of AirAsia Digital, is now present in Manila, Bacolod, Cebu, Davao, General Santos, Iloilo, Kalibo, Puerto Princesa, Tacloban, Tagbilaran, Clark, Cagayan de Oro and Zamboanga.
Teleport said it can deliver almost anything, from food, groceries, documents, flowers and even laundry, instantly to customers within one hour.
“With a one hour delivery promise, we hope that all local merchants and businesses will benefit. Soon, businesses can experience 24 hour express deliveries between cities as well as cross-border delivered to you by Teleport. The goal is by next year, with a click of a button, you can send almost anything instantly to anywhere AirAsia flies to,” Pete Chareonwongsak, Teleport chief executive officer (CEO), said.
Teleport has presence in 70 cities across Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia and the Philippines
Meanwhile, AirAsia is providing local businesses, particularly micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs), with opportunities for growth and employment through its fast growing digital platforms.
AirAsia said these platforms help MSMEs to digitalize their business and expand their reach to target more consumers and new markets.
The airasia OurShop is an e-commerce platform where SMEs across Asean can advertise and sell their products to consumers online, while airasia Fresh offers produce directly from the source, thus helping local farmers.
The airasia Food connects food merchants to over 60 million consumers on airasia.com, and Teleport is a digital logistics venture that makes delivery simple, fast and accessible for everyone.
