HONDA Cars Philippines, Inc. (HCPI) marked a significant milestone in its electrification journey with the introduction of the all-new Honda CR-V Hybrid in September 2023. This launch aligns with Honda’s global commitment to reducing its environmental impact and offering more sustainable mobility options.

The heart of the CR-V Hybrid lies in Honda’s e:HEV (Hybrid Electric Vehicle) technology. This full-hybrid system seamlessly integrates a 2.0-liter Atkinson-cycle gasoline engine with two electric motors. This innovative powertrain enables the CR-V Hybrid to operate in three distinct driving modes: EV Drive (electric-only), Hybrid Drive (combined power), and Engine Drive (gasoline only).

The e:HEV system intelligently manages the power distribution between the gasoline engine and electric motors, optimizing efficiency and performance in various driving conditions. This results in impressive fuel economy figures while still providing ample power for everyday driving and highway cruising.

The CR-V Hybrid is available in different trim levels, catering to a wide range of customer preferences. The top-of-the-line RS e:HEV variant boasts a sporty exterior design and premium interior features. Across all variants, the CR-V Hybrid comes equipped with Honda SENSING, a suite of advanced safety and driver-assistive technologies. Additionally, Honda CONNECT provides connected services for enhanced convenience and peace of mind.

Maintaining the CR-V’s reputation for spaciousness, the hybrid version offers ample legroom and cargo space, making it a practical choice for families and adventurers alike. Depending on the trim level, the interior can be outfitted with premium amenities such as leather seats, a panoramic sunroof, and a wireless charging pad.

Since its launch, the CR-V Hybrid has garnered positive feedback for its blend of fuel efficiency, performance, and advanced features. It has become a strong contender in the burgeoning hybrid SUV segment in the Philippines, appealing to eco-conscious consumers who seek both practicality and a reduced carbon footprint.

The introduction of the CR-V Hybrid represents a significant step forward in Honda’s electrification strategy in the Philippines. As consumer demand for hybrid and electric vehicles continues to grow, Honda is well-positioned to meet this demand with its advanced e:HEV technology.

The CR-V Hybrid is not merely a new model; it is a testament to Honda’s commitment to innovation and sustainability in the automotive industry. With its combination of cutting edge technology, practicality, and eco-friendliness, the CR-V Hybrid is poised to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of mobility in the Philippines.
