Four months after crossing the 11 million mark, local streaming giant Vivamax–now rebranded as VMX–proudly announces it has reached 12 million subscribers. At a celebration held at Viva Café last Thursday, VMX unveiled 12 exciting surprises, marking this achievement with major projects and announcements.

One highlight was the introduction of VMX’s new logo, reflecting its commitment to evolving while staying true to its identity. Beyond streaming, VMX has expanded to cinema with its first-ever release, “Unang Tikim,” directed by Roman Perez Jr., which premiered in August and will stream on VMX this November. Its next theatrical release, “Celestina: Burlesk Dancer,” directed by McArthur C. Alejandre, is set in the 1940s and tells the story of a woman who becomes a burlesque dancer to support her son.
VMX continues to launch fresh releases every week, with six new titles in September, including “F—Buddies,” “Throuple,” “Uhaw,” “Paluwagan,” “Pilya,” and “Kiskisan.” October promises more exciting titles such as “Salsa ni L,” “Tahong,” “Tatsulok,” “Undergrads,” “Halinghing,” “Krista,” and “Donselya.” Upcoming November titles include “Baligtaran,” “Ungol,” and “Kabitan.”

In the remaining months of the year, VMX will continue to produce and showcase films that will excite its viewers. Coming this month are “Salsa ni L,” “Tahong” and “Tatsulok.” Four more new titles will premiere — “Undergrads,” “Halinghing,” “Krista,” and “Donselya.”
For November, VMX will bring us “Baligtaran,” “Ungol,” “Kabitan,” “Maryang Palad,” “Pukpok” and “Boss Ma’am.”
Near the end of 2024, “Silip,” Pin/Ya,” “Forbidden Desire,” “Lamas,” “Secret Sessions,” “Stepmother Story” and “Boy Kaldag” will be unveiled. And catch an extra special content brought to us by Salome Salvi and Apple Dy – VMX Top 10.
VMX also continues to go global and aims to reach a broader audience, not just Filipinos abroad but also other nationalities. VMX movies like “Adan,” “The Housemaid,” and many more are to be localized for release in Japan. These movies may be enjoyed with Japanese subtitles or a Japanese dubbed version.
Several VMX talents have successfully crossed into mainstream media. Angeli Khang and Salome Salvi joined GMA’s “Black Rider,” while Christine Bermas hosts TV5’s “Wil To Win.” VMX is on the hunt for new talent through its VMX talent search, open to single women aged 18 to 21, seeking rising stars for mature roles in upcoming projects.
In addition to online streaming and cinema releases, VMX is expanding its audience through events like the VMX Film Festival, which invites filmmakers to create bold stories, and Project X: VMX Fashion Show 2024, featuring 14 VMX artists led by celebrity choreographer Jobel Dayrit.
