Vivamax marks 11M subscribers, expands talent roster

STREAMING service Vivamax has reached 11 million subscribers, a significant milestone achieved just a little over three years since its launch in January 2021. This marks a substantial increase from the 7 million subscribers recorded in June 2023, solidifying Vivamax’s position as the fastest-growing video-on-demand service in the country.

The announcement was made on Thursday during a celebration at the Viva Café in Cubao, attended by key executives Vincent and Val del Rosario. Both expressed satisfaction with the platform’s rapid growth and success in the competitive streaming market. “Our growth has exceeded expectations,” said Vincent Jr. “Patuloy na tinatangkilik tayo hindi lang dito kundi pati overseas.”

“Most of the subscribers keep on coming back, around ninety percent keep on coming back,” added Val.

Vivamax’s content library has seen considerable expansion since its inception. The platform now offers nearly 500 titles, including close to 200 original productions. Weekly new releases have contributed to maintaining audience interest and satisfaction, reinforcing Vivamax’s reputation as a leading provider of diverse and engaging content.

In addition to the subscriber milestone, Vivamax introduced eleven new talents who are expected to enhance the platform’s offerings:

Dyessa Garcia has appeared in “Tuhog” and “Araro” in 2023, and played major roles in “Dilig” and “Kabit.” Her recent film, “Sweet Release,” was popular upon its release in April.

Known for her role in “Hibang,” Rica Gonzales has demonstrated versatility in “Dilig,” “Mapanukso,” “Kapalit,” and “Dayo.”

Christy Imperial was featured in “The Rain in España,” “La Querida,” “Dirty Ice Cream,” and “Asintado.” She balances her acting career with studies and other interests.

Arah Alonzo has appeared in “Araro” and “Sex Games” in 2023, and continued with “Kalikot” and “Stag” in 2024. Her entry into acting was facilitated by her participation in pageants and the “Sexy Babe” segment on “It’s Showtime.”

Vern Kaye can sing and dance. She has portrayed characters in “Kasalo” and “Salitan.” She is expected to bring more diverse performances to Vivamax.

Athena Red is of Filipino, Spanish, and Kuwaiti descent. She is a culinary student and model and will debut in “Ang Pintor at ang Paraluman.”

Alessandra Cruz is a newcomer whose first project, “Nurse Abi,” is scheduled for release in July.

Jenn Rosa has appeared in “Araro” and stars in “Kulong” and “TL.” She maintains a fit physique through a healthy lifestyle.

Candy Veloso, from Zamboanga Del Sur, transitioned to acting after a viral moment on “It’s Showtime.” Her debut was in “Kapalit,” followed by “Dirty Ice Cream.”

Mariane Saint will appear in the upcoming film “Top 1.” She has expressed gratitude for her opportunities and excitement for her career.

A well-known DJ, Skye Gonzaga has signed with Vivamax and will appear in “Only Friends” and “Ang Pintor at ang Paraluman.”

Vivamax continues to grow and diversify its content, maintaining its commitment to providing a wide range of viewing options. This milestone reflects the platform’s successful strategy and dedication to meeting the entertainment needs of its audience.
