Filipino boxing icon Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao returns to the ring for a shot at the WBC world welterweight title, with TV5 and RPTV set to broadcast the highly anticipated bout live on free TV.
The only boxer in history to win world titles in eight weight divisions, Pacquiao will face reigning WBC welterweight champion Mario “Aztec Warrior” Barrios on July 20 (PHT) at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
After a four-year break following his 2021 fight with Yordenis Ugás, Pacquiao steps back into the ring to prove he still has the fire to compete at the highest level. With 62 career wins, including 39 by knockout, his legacy is already secure — but the Pacman isn’t done yet.
“This is more than a fight — it’s a national moment,” said TV5 president and CEO Guido R. Zaballero. “We’re proud to bring this historic event to every Filipino home for free.”
Catch “Pacquiao vs Barrios” on July 20 at 10 a.m. on RPTV and One Sports, and at 2:15 p.m. on TV5.
