The New Channel (TNC), a digital media platform known for its advocacy-driven and culturally focused content, has announced plans for 2025 aimed at promoting Filipino talent, expanding international collaborations, and launching new initiatives for positive social change.
In the coming year, TNC will continue to highlight Filipino culture and creativity through its digital content, which includes both video and written formats. The platform will work with Filipino and international influencers, thought leaders, and content creators to showcase the Philippines as a global hub of talent and innovation.
TNC’s flagship programs, such as “Global Women Who RULE,” “Me and My Outstanding Mother,” and “Like Father, Like Son,” will evolve in 2025 to include live, in-person events. These events will complement the platform’s established live-streaming format, allowing for broader engagement both locally and internationally.
TNC has also partnered with PraXis Experiential to continue running “The Karaoke World Championship” (KWC) franchise in the Philippines. This partnership will help discover and promote emerging musical talent, giving participants the chance to compete globally and secure international entertainment contracts. In addition, TNC plans to expand its involvement in music festival marketing and production both in the Philippines and abroad.
As part of its growth, TNC will strengthen partnerships with global events, conventions, and advocacy groups to amplify Filipino voices and expand its reach internationally. Through these efforts, TNC aims to solidify its position as a key player in alternative media worldwide.
In December 2024, TNC successfully defended its trademark rights, with the Bureau of Legal Affairs (BLA) of the Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines ruling in favor of the platform’s ownership of the “TNC” trademark. This legal victory allows the company to move forward with greater focus while underscoring the importance of protecting intellectual property rights in the digital age.
Apple Esplana-Manansala, president and CEO of TNC, expressed optimism about the future.
“We also look forward to the local and international collaborations that we have been harnessing over the years. We are hopeful that there will be more and better online content that we can contribute not just to the Philippine audience but for the rest of the world to enjoy,” she added.
