Anyone who has seen them perform know that Hajji, Rey, Marco and Nonoy bring with them their inimitable brand of comedy. The group are famous for taking playful jabs at each other, like saying Nonoy is the slowest, Rey is masungit, etc., but no one takes offense.

“Sa aming lima [including Pops], wala ‘yun sa amin, kahit anong klaseng joke, kasi we accept each other as a person,” said Nonoy. “‘Yung iba mas apektado. On my part, may nagtatanong, hindi ka ba naapektuhan dun sa joke ni Hajji, ni Marco? Hindi! Wag nyo seryosohin ‘yun.”

“Four Kings and a Queen” is bound to be two nights of good music and playful jokes among friends. It’s part of their self-deprecating humor, explained Rey. Their roasts are always directed at themselves — never at an audience member.

Hindi kami ganun ka-sensitive,” he related.

Kung gagawin naming siguro to keep up with the times, matanda na kami para dun.”

New singer Kanishia will be featured as special guest. Kanishia, the daughter of concert producer Flor Santos, is excited to perform with the OPM royalties. She is carving her own niche with her way of giving new songs, such as Lady Gaga’s “Poker Face,” a twist.

“Four Kings and a Queen” is produced by Dreamwings, Fullhouse Theater Company and DSL Events.
