Is the 6-member girl group Eleven 11 the latest contender for the throne currently held by BINI?
After months of extensive training, John Bryan Diamante, CEO of Mentorque, unveiled Eleven 11 at the Barako Fest press conference in Lipa last Thursday. The group consists of Ivy, Barbie, CJ, Audrey, Jade and Swaggy, the leader.
“Eleven 11 are patterns that appear randomly in your life,” Bryan explained. “You might notice them on car plates, etc. Eleven 11 is considered a lucky number, and many people say ‘make a wish’ when they see it.”
Ivy added that the name suits them perfectly: “Eleven 11 is a repeating number. It’s an ‘Angel number,’ so whenever you see it, it’s a sign from the universe that your dreams will come true. It’s also a sign that our guardian angels are watching over us.” For them, being part of the group and striving toward their goals is truly their “dream come true,” Ivy continued.
Bryan is proud of Eleven 11 and shared that he saw the girls’ potential after seeing them on a noontime show. He believes they meet the high standards set by Mentorque. “You know how we do things at Mentorque,” Diamante, who is also the managing head of Talino at Puso, said with a smile. “We believe in Filipino talent, and we maintain that there’s a place for everyone under the sun,” he added.
Eleven 11 made their debut at Barako Fest on February 15, wowing Batangueños with their pop-rock-hip-hop set. Each member brings something unique to the table: Swaggy, the leader, is the main dancer. Ivy and CJ are the main vocalists. Barbie is the main rapper. Audrey sings and dances, while Jade, the youngest member, is a dancer-rapper.
When asked about being compared to more established P-pop groups, the girls shared that they know comparisons are inevitable in the industry, but they remain unfazed. They prefer to focus on their own dreams, goals, and performances. “Sa industry, usually may mga comparison, pero ang goal namin ay ma-share ang talent ng bawat isa,” CJ shared.
