MICCA Rosal, 27, a tax analyst from Agoncillo, Batangas, was crowned as Miss Aura Philippines 2022 at the inaugural national search for the country’s representative to the Miss Aura International Pageant held at St. Francis Shangri La Place in Mandaluyong last Saturday.
Micca bested a field of 19 contestants and was crowned by her predecessor, Miss Aura International Alexandra Faith Garcia; she will vie for the 17th Miss Aura International in Antalya, Turkey in September.
Micca, who won the Manila Bulletin Readers’ Choice award at last year’s Binibining Pilipinas where she represented her hometown of Agoncillo, will receive P100,000 in cash, as well as other prizes from the Miss Aura Philippines sponsors.
Named as first runner-up was Heavenly Lawingan of Baguio while the second runner-up was Vera Dickinson of Concepcion, Tarlac. Rounding up the Top 5 were Katrina Mae Sese and Nicole Nash Andrea Vergara.
Lawingan and Dickinson will also be sent to forthcoming international beauty pageants.
The Miss Aura Philippines Organization is headed by its national director Katniss Griffiths and president Jovita C. Laureola. Other members of the organization are Ferdinand Galdones Abejon, director for communications; and Ken Filarca, director for business development. Jino Wil Fredo Esteban and Patrick Angelo Edades are marketing directors for this year.
