The Okada Manila was abuzz with excitement last Friday as the iconic Filipino showbiz ex-couple, Sharon Cuneta and Gabby Concepcion, came together for the first time in years to give fans a sneak peek of their upcoming reunion show, “Dear Heart.” The press conference was an emotional rollercoaster for fans and the media alike. Gabby kept the atmosphere light. “No nega, andito si Mega,” he quipped.

He said he is happy everything fell into place so that their much-awaited concert is finally happening. “Timing lang. I guess it wasn’t time. Now is the time. I have very few words pero excitement ko andun lahat,” he said.

In a heartwarming gesture, Gabby introduced his ex-wife Sharon, embraced and gave her a kiss before leaving the stage. It was evident that time had been kind to both, as Sharon’s youthful appearance dazzled everyone, and Gabby’s charm was palpable.

The brief but emotionally charged reunion left attendees thrilled for what the “Dear Heart” concert will bring. Speaking to the press, both stars promised a show that would delight their fans and capture the essence of their storied history.

Gabby revealed that he and Sharon would perform a duet during the concert, despite not having had the opportunity to rehearse together. The spontaneity of their performance, he said, would add a unique charm to the event.

During her press conference, Sharon divulged that “Dear Heart” would be a journey through her and Gabby’s story, encompassing their initial meeting, whirlwind romance, and, of course, their long-awaited reunion. Her husband, Kiko Pangilinan, and their children would not be attending the concert to spare them any discomfort and to allow her and Gabby to perform without reservation.

Addressing the rumors surrounding their daughter, actress KC Concepcion, Sharon expressed nothing but love for all her children. She emphasized that her affection for each of her four children–KC, Kakie, Miel, and Gujie–was equal and unwavering. “I love my kids so much. I will willingly give my life for any of them,” she affirmed.

The “Dear Heart” concert, scheduled for October 27 at the SM Mall of Asia Arena, promises to be a nostalgic and heartfelt journey for fans of the beloved duo. It will have Paolo Valenciano as the director and Louie Ocampo as the musical director.

Due to the overwhelming love from their fans, “Dear Heart” will also feature a special VIP Night at Okada Manila’s Grand Ballroom on October 30 and an additional performance at the NuStar Convention Center on November 27.

“Dear Heart,” the much-anticipated reunion of this iconic estranged couple, is proudly produced by NY Entourage Productions and WEU Events Management Services, presented by InLife, MWell, Bingo Plus, and co-presented by PAL, Okada Manila, LBC Express, in cooperation with Aboitiz, Katinko, McDonald’s, and Aivee.
