Gorgeous and glowing actress Sunshine Cruz finally reveals the secret to why she’s tagged as a “vampire” in showbiz.
A scion of the famed Cruz family of showbiz, Sunshine not only inherited a knack for performing but also great genes from her folks. She is known as forever young. The mother of three is proud that at 46 – she’s turning 47 in July – she remains very in demand for showbiz assignments and endorsements. Just recently, she was launched as the face of the “ageless glow” campaign of Thiocell Glutathione Lozenge, and the actress opened up about how she has maintained her good looks and enviable figure in her late 40s.
“Self-love,” she admitted.
The secret of Sunshine lies in making sure she prioritizes her well-being. Aside from religiously taking Thiocell every morning, lots of water, sleep, and regular workout, the singer-actress confessed that taking care of oneself goes a long way. “Kailangan lang mahalin ang sarili. If you expect (other) persons or people to love you, you have to love yourself first. ‘Yun ang ginagawa ko ngayon. Stay healthy and fit not only for myself but for my family. Nasabi ko na ang secret ko,” she disclosed at a press con last Tuesday at Limbaga 77 in Quezon City.
The actress also shared that she also puts a lot of importance on making sure she has time for her three daughters – Angelina, Francheska, and Sam. All three are talented and pretty.
They all also happen to be accomplished in school and are honor students, so Sunshine has asked them to focus on their studies, believing that showbiz will have a place for them when the time comes. When it comes to affairs of the heart, Sunshine is very practical with her advice to her kids: “Huwag maging tanga.”
As for romance, Sunshine said she is fulfilled with her family and career. “My life is very happy. I’m happy and contented that I have endorsements. God is good! Napakabihira sa ka-edad ko na forty-six, turning forty-seven., ang pinagkakatiwalaang pa rin ng malalaking brands so that alone, I’m very blessed and of course, I have three intelligent and beautiful kids, so wala na akong mahihiling,” she said, “Kung ano man ang dumating sa’kin, I still consider myself as someone who is blessed.”
