SOME of the country’s biggest stars made sure to do their part at the polls, encouraging fellow Filipinos to vote and use their voices.

Among the early risers was Kim Chiu, who took to Instagram to show off her ink-stained finger and urge her fans to vote wisely. “In just one day, we are given the privilege to choose the future leaders of our nation. This is our power as Filipino citizens who dream of a better, more progressive country — where the taxes we pay turn into services we truly feel. From local to national positions, let’s vote wisely,” she wrote.

Anne Curtis also posted on Instagram, saying, “Voting is our power to choose who our leaders will be. So please research and keep in mind those who truly have a heart for the country and PEOPLE! Vote wisely!”

Heart Evangelista was spotted casting her vote in Sorsogon. The fashion icon posted on her Instagram story a photo of her husband, Senate President Chiz Escudero, and also of herself voting.

Meanwhile, Arjo Atayde, running for re-election as congressman in the first district of Quezon City, and Marco Gumabao, who is running for representative of the fourth district of Camarines Sur, were both spotted voting in their respective precints and flashed their inked fingers as proof that they had voted.
