Vivacious Kim Chiu will surprise and shock viewers with her bold and daring performance in Amazon Prime’s drama series, “Linlang.”

Known for her bubbly and extroverted personality, Kim found herself working alongside the more reserved JM de Guzman and Paulo Avelino. “An extrovert working with two introverts,” Kim giggled during last Monday’s media con.

But as it turns out, this dynamic trio has created magic on screen.

Kim, a staple of romantic comedies, stepped into a dramatically challenging role as Juliana, a woman caught in a complex web of relationships involving two brothers, played by JM and Paulo. While there was some hesitation initially in taking the mature role, her performance in the series has been nothing short of remarkable.

Kim expressed her gratitude for being part of another ABS-CBN and Prime Video collaboration series after her previous success with “Fit Check: Confessions of an Ukay Queen.”

“Salamat sa tiwala and thank you [to Prime] for providing us a platform na maipalabas itong series na pinaghandaan talaga namin. Sobrang excited ako na mapanood siya worldwide,” she said.

Meanwhile, Paulo shared his thoughts on playing the role of the betrayed husband. “It’s different. I tried to embody the role as much as I could. And considering that I’m not just a husband here but also a father, so it made it meatier on my part.”

JM, in his first project under Dreamscape, shared his enthusiasm for the series: “Alam kong marami akong matututunan, and it’s an opportunity na mapakita ko ‘yung kaya kong gawin sa materyal na ino-offer nila.”

Directed expertly by Jojo Saguin and FM Reyes, “Linlang” promises a gripping narrative that revolves around Victor “Bangis” Lualhati, a boxer-turned-seaman determined to uncover the truth behind his wife Juliana’s infidelity. However, as Victor delves deeper into the mysteries surrounding his wife, he uncovers secrets that go beyond a simple case of infidelity.

“Linlang,” produced by Dreamscape, is set to premiere on Amazon Prime Video in the Philippines and in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide on October 5.

The series also boasts stellar performances from award-winning veterans Maricel Soriano and Ruby Ruiz, as well as rising star Kaila Estrada. The ensemble cast includes Jaime Fabregas, Raymond Bagatsing, Albie Casiño, Jake Ejercito, Heaven Peralejo, Adrian Lindayag, Race Matias, Benj Manalo, Lovely Abella, Frenchie Dy, Ross Pesigan, Hanna Lexie, Juno Advincula, Connie Virtucio, Lotlot Bustamante, Meann Espinosa, Danny Ramos, Bart Guingona, Marc Mcmahon, Anji Salvacion, and Kice.
