ACTRESSES Marian Rivera and Rhian Ramos are not only known as two of the hottest faces on TV, they are also domestic goddesses who beautifully juggle chores and career. Rhian caused quite a stir as she posted photos with her holding up her baked goodies while wearing sexy apparel, while Marian is a known wiz in the kitchen, taking up lessons and imparting her culinary skill to her daughter.

Marian and Rhian, award-winning actresses Bea Alonzo and Judy Ann Santos are just some of the actors invited to the Filipino-Chinese Bakery Association Inc. (FCBAI) Bakery Fair Philippines 2025, which is gearing up to be one of the most exciting events in the land.

With just a week to go, Chris Ah, president of FCBAI, wants everyone to know that the affair will not just be for bakers, baking enthusiasts and culinary students but also foodies who can buy the best ingredients, score the latest tools, and discover the latest innovations while watching live demonstrations and connecting with suppliers, industry leaders and peers.

“It’s going to be very exciting dahil hindi lang ito para sa mga may bakery. Kung hindi ka po baker, baka paglabas mo ng Bakery Fair, maging baker ka na rin, magde-decide ka na, bukas magtatayo ka ng bakery!” Ah said at a recent press con, “dahil dito po, hindi lang po to just an exhibit. It’s like a show. Kumbaga meron po tayong mga beauty pageants, may Miss Universe, Miss World.

“Kumbaga, it’s a red-carpet even na punong-puno ng mga wedding cakes. We have this competition na ang grand champion ay mag-uuwi ng P150,000,” he added.

This year’s Bakery Fair promises to be a feast for both the eyes and the senses, featuring events like The Baker’s Cup, which includes high-stakes competitions such as “Flour Masters: Bread Baking Competition,” “The Cake Illusion: Hyper-Realistic Cake Art Competition,” and the “Grand Regal Tiers Wedding Cake Display Competition.” Winners will take home cash prizes and gain access to international training and trips to top culinary institutes.

Chris Ah’s roots run deep in the baking world – he grew up surrounded by savory breads and tasty pastries at the 85-year-old Liberty Bakery, located in the heart of Tondo, Manila.
