Pawchester, a premium pet hospitality center in Greenhills, is eyeing a potential collaboration with Heart Evangelista’s dog, Panda, as the face of their brand.
Maine Uy-Jainani, the owner and founder of Pawchester, shared that the idea of partnering with Heart stems from the shared passion for pets and their well-being. “We want to work with someone like Heart Evangelista, who embodies the love and care for pets that we are so passionate about. Panda, her dog, is the perfect symbol of the bond we aim to foster between pet owners and their beloved animals,” said Maine. “Heart’s genuine affection for pets aligns with our vision of providing a luxurious and caring space for furbabies.”
The inspiration for Pawchester’s unique concept came from Maine’s experience in Dorchester in London that left a lasting impression on her. “I wanted to bring that same level of comfort and excellence to Manila, something where pets feel as pampered as they would in a luxury hotel,” Maine explained. “Pawchester was built with the heart of a pet lover in mind, ensuring every pet feels at home, and every owner receives top-notch service.”
Maine’s vision for Pawchester is more than just a grooming center; it’s a destination where pets are treated like family members. “It’s about making sure our clients—the pets—feel safe, comfortable, and loved,” she shared. “Our goal is to provide them with everything they need while giving their owners a chance to relax and enjoy themselves at our cafe.”
Pawchester has already made a significant impact on the local community by hosting the first-ever lion dance competition at Greenhills Mall last Sunday. The event, which was hosted by KC Montero, featured 10 of the best lion dance teams from across the country in a spectacular display of skill and tradition, with the Rui/Binondo Phoenix Dragon Lion Dance Group taking home the champion title. In addition to being crowned champions, the group also won the awards for Excellence in Costume and Props and People’s Choice Award. The competition was fierce, with the Philippine Wei Feng Dragon Lion Dance Group taking home the Excellence in Music award, while the Philippine Yong Sheng Dragon Lion Sport Association secured second runner-up and Quezon City Dragon Lion Dance Team finished third runner-up. The first runner-up was the Philippine Wei Feng Dragon Lion Dance Group.
Maine expressed her excitement about Pawchester’s involvement in the event, noting that it was a perfect blend of cultural celebration and community engagement. “Lion dance is a big part of our culture, and hosting the first-ever competition here was a way for us to honor that tradition while also giving back to the community.”
Looking to the future, Maine has big plans for Pawchester, focusing on refining the services they offer and expanding the brand. “We’re always working on improving our user experience, especially in grooming and pet care,” she said. “We want to create an environment where pets feel pampered and safe, and their owners can truly relax knowing their pets are well taken care of.”
Though the first Pawchester branch, which opened last November, is still in its early stages, Maine’s long-term goals are already taking shape. “We want to give pet owners a space that feels like a luxury hotel for their pets. In the future, we plan to introduce pet boarding services,” she said.
As Pawchester continues to grow, Maine remains dedicated to maintaining the brand’s reputation for offering a premium, personalized experience. “What sets us apart is our approach to hospitality. Pawchester is not just a grooming center — it’s a place where pets can feel at home, and their owners can relax,” she said.
