Senator Alan Cayetano shared his takeaway not from the main topic discussed in the recent episode of “CIA with BA,” but from one of its segments, “Alan, Pia, Pik!”

Senator Alan emphasized the importance of fostering a positive outlook and cherishing simple joys, admitting that he often feels frustrated when faced with injustice or conflict. This inspired him to approach 2025 differently.

“Iba muna ang paghuhugutan ko ng takeaway kasi nga medyo umiinit ulo ko ‘pag may tingin ko mali o injustice o sakitan among each other. Gusto ko kasi, itong 2025 medyo mas happy ang dating,” he shared.

He also shared anecdotes from his youth and married life, showing how the simplest moments can bring the greatest happiness.

“Years ago, ilang taon na rin kaming kasal ni Lani, umulan nang malakas [tapos] hinahanap niya ‘ko. Nakita niya ‘ko nasa garden, walang t-shirt, naka-shorts [lang], naliligo sa ulan,” he recounted

“Panahon kasi namin, ‘yung pinakasimple, ‘yon ang pinakamasaya. May puno ng aratiles, aakyat kami, magbabatuhan ng konti, kukuha, kakainin mo… Magpa-patintero kayo. Mga simpleng bagay pero masaya.”

The senator reminded viewers that happiness doesn’t require extravagant gestures or material possessions.

“Hindi kailangang mahal, hindi kailangang bumili. ‘Yung time mo, ‘yung effort mo, and simple things — [those] will become true memories. Magpasaya tayo sa simpleng mga bagay,” he said.

“CIA with BA” continues the legacy of the late Senator Rene Cayetano and airs every Sunday at 11 p.m. on GMA7, with replays on GTV the following Saturday at 10:30 p.m.
