Here are some of the shows taking over Newport Performing Arts Theater in the first quarter of 2025.
The 2025 season opens with a grand tribute to one of the country’s most prolific songwriters, Vehnee Saturno. The OPM hitmaker takes center stage in the star-studded tribute concert dubbed “The Music of Vehnee Saturno” to honor his over 40 years of musical legacy on January 31.
Joining him in this special night are some of OPM’s brightest stars, including Ice Seguerra, Joey Generoso, Jessa Zaragoza, Julie Anne San Jose, and Kyla. Adding even more star power to the show are iconic artists Dingdong Avanzado, Noel Cabangon, Rita Daniela, Daryl Ong, Kris Lawrence, and Martin Nievera.
Pinoy rock is thriving, and it is coming in hot. The queens of the scene — Acel Bisa, Aia de Leon, Barbie Almalbis, Hannah Romawac, Kitchie Nadal, and Lougee Basabas — are back together for “TANAW: The Repeat” on February 9. This marks the third time that the six OPM rock icons will be performing together for a concert, following their successful first reunion and thanksgiving follow-up.
Irish singer-songwriter and global heartthrob Ronan Keating will make hearts swoon with a special Valentine’s concert at Newport World Resorts. The most romantic time of the year becomes even more special as he serenades his Manila fans on February 13.
Every heart has a love story, and every love story has a song. This Valentine’s season, “Stories of the Heart” concert brings that soundtrack to life with three of OPM’s most beloved voices — Erik Santos, Christian Bautista, and Yeng Constantino. For the first time ever, these iconic artists join forces to headline the two-night show on February 14 and 15
Get ready for a night of unstoppable laughter, sharp wit, and nostalgic vibes as Kumar, Southeast Asia’s undisputed “King of Comedy,” brings their “Beats, Rhymes & Punchlines” tour on February 22. Sprinkled generously with throwback vibes, timeless laughs, and a crash course in generational wisdom, Kumar is back bolder and more brash, channelling the unapologetic vibe of the ‘80s and ‘90s to school the Gen Z crowd on the grit and grind of yesteryear with a side of Gen X wisdom.
