FOR beauty queen/entrepreneur/triathlete Alexandra Faith Garcia, 28, from Olongapo City, Zambales, being handpicked as Miss Aura Philippines and the country’s first ever delegate in the 16-year-old Miss Aura International Pageant is a twist of fate she is holding on to with so much passion and responsibility.
Having been in the world of pageantry in the last ten years — including her most recent stint at the 57th Binibining Pilipinas pageant where she won as Miss World Balance — Faith is super excited for her upcoming stint that carries with it many “firsts.”
Faith is the first to hold the title of Miss Aura Philippines after being chosen by national director Katniss Griffiths, singling her out for meeting the 4B criteria of the Turkey-based pageant: Beauty, Body, Brains and Behavior. She is also on her first trip overseas.
Faith also said it will be her first and last pageant stint, as she will soon turn 29 and eager to get back to her other endeavors — triathlon and her agri business.
Miss Aura International will stage its 16th pageant from September 20 to October 5, 2021 in Rixos Sungate in Antalya, Turkey, where reigning titleholder Andreia Correia of Portugal will pass on the crown to the new winner.
Having been appointed on a relatively short notice, Faith hurdled the challenges of the current health crisis and leaves early morning tomorrow after fulfilling all travel and health protocol requirements needed for a safe flight to Turkey.
Kagandahang Flores pageant camp founder Rodgil Flores, who trained Faith for the contest in Turkey as well as in her previous national pageant stints, confidently declared that the Zambales charmer is ripe for an international crown.
Faith expressed her heartfelt gratitude to Flores as well as to Team Faith headed by Sir Jino Wil Fredo Esteban and Miguel West, Michelle Vitug Encarnacion, Jovita Laureola and Griffiths.
