MISS Supranational Philippines 2022 Alison Beronilla Black and Mister Supranational Philippines 2022 Raí‰d Fernandéz Al-Zghayér were feted with a sendoff press con last Monday at Kingsford Hotel Manila before embarking on their respective journeys to the global competitions to be held in Poland on July 15 and 16, respectively.
Alison, a 23-year-old professional ballerina who eventually put up her own ballet school in Las Piñas, is competing along with 70 plus other delegates worldwide at the 13th Miss Supranational Pageant. The world finale will select the next winner to succeed Namibia’s Chanique Rabe on July 15.
The daughter of Michael Ray Black and Aura Beronilla Black, Alison is a Business Management graduate of UP Diliman. At the recent Miss World Philippines, she received the Best in Swimsuit award.
Meanwhile, Raíˆd, a 27-year-old, 6-foot-2 flight attendant and part-time model, will aim for the country’s first Mister Supranational title at the 6th edition of the contest where 36 delegates worldwide will go for the coveted title currently held by Peru’s Varo Vargas.
Raí‰d is a Filipino-Jordanian who was born and raised in Kuwait. His mom is originally from Lalu-lapu City, Cebu. His dream to fly with Emirates had him initially take up Aviation Technology but eventually took up Tourism and became a flight attendant.
Fired up by a burning passion to become a Hollywood actor, Raí‰d joined a male pageant in the UAE and finished as 2nd runner-up. Then he came over to the Philippines to audition for Mr. World Philippines that was initially discontinued but with a stroke of luck, Raí‰d was eventually picked and officially appointed as Philippine delegate to Mister Supranational 2022.
Raí‰d brings with him to Poland his advocacy to stop bullying and violence and abuse against people especially children, as well as his inspiring story of overcoming obesity from over 300 pounds to the fit and fab hunk that he is today.
The Miss and Mister Supranational 2022 grand finale will be staged in the same venue – Strzelecki Park Amphitheater – on July 15 and 16, respectively.
