PH bet guns for back-to-back win in Miss Eco Int’l

MISS Eco Philippines Ashley Subijano Montenegro is now in Cairo, Egypt to represent the Philippines at the 9th Miss Eco International where she is aiming to score a back-to-back win, the reigning queen being our very own Kathleen Paton.

Statuesque Ashley represented Makati at last year’s Miss World Philippines finals and bagged the Miss Eco Philippines crown in addition to several special awards.

Ashley is the daughter of 1994 Binibining Pilipinas World and Miss World Top 10 semifinalist and 1991 Supermodel of the World Philippines Cara Subijano and model-actor Hans Montenegro. She is on her last year pursuing an Entrepreneurship degree at Enderun Colleges in Taguig.

Ashley was given a very warm sendoff media conference last Tuesday at Pandan Asian Cafe in Quezon City by ALV Pageant Circle with no less that its president and Miss Eco International national director Arnold Vegafria leading an entourage of well wishers in a brief program hosted by Miss Supranational Philippines 2022 Allison Black.

Ashley’s fellow Miss World Philippines 2022 queens also graced the event to extend their support and deliver good luck messages to their “sister,” namely, Miss World Philippines Gwendolyne Fourniol, Reina Hispanoamericana Filipinas Ingrid Samantha Santamaria, Miss Eco Teen International 2022 first runner-up Francesca Beatriz McLelland, Miss Tourism World 2022 first runner-up Justine Felizarta and Miss World Philippines Charity Cassandra Chan.

A bit under the weather during her sendoff, Ashley thanked her fellow titlists and the members of media present as well as her Aces & Queens team for all their support in her pageant journey.

Ashley especially thanked her mom Cara for all the pageant pointers.

Ashley left for Cairo, Egypt last Wednesday.

Miss Eco International 2023 will hold its 9th finale on March 4 with almost 50 delegates worldwide competing. For the record, the Philippines has won the coveted title twice: Cynthia Thomalla in 2018 and Kathleen Paton last year.
