LAST November, Miss Philippines-Fire 2020 Shane Quintana Tormes was selected by the Miss Global Philippines Organization to represent the country at the international pageant’s next search after bring postponed last year because of the pandemic.
As the current Miss Global Philippines, Tormes shared on social media the latest updates on the upcoming Miss Global Pageant.
“As you may know by now, I have been selected last November by the Miss Global Philippines Organization headed by Miss Pauline Sofia Laping as the official representative of the Philippines to the Miss Global Pageant this year.
“However, due to the recent developments about the current and evolving pandemic, the Miss Global Organization has decided to hold two pageants this year: Miss Global 2021 which will be conducted virtually this coming February and March, and Miss Global 2022 which will be a live competition scheduled for May and June, also this year, with the option to join one or both.
“With the blessing of Miss Pauline Laping, I have decided to represent our country at Miss Global 2022 which will be held in Bali, Indonesia. This, we believe, is the best option for me and the Miss Global Philippines Organization as it will give us ample time to prepare well and, at the same time, comply with the requirements set by the Miss Global Organization.
“I humbly ask for your continued support in this journey to raise our flag with the rare opportunity to make our country proud once again…”
