CONGRATULATIONS to Miss Tourism Philippines Universe Abegail Colcol Labasan from Upi, Maguindanao for winning the Miss Tourism Universe Asia title and eventually placing as third runner-up at the Miss Tourism Universe 2022 finals held at Casino du Liban in Jí¶unié, Lebanon.
Miss Tourism Venezuela Fernanda González won as Miss Tourism Universe 2022 while Miss Tourism Kyrgyzstan and Miss Tourism Italy placed second and third, respectively.
Labasan earned the right to represent the country in Lebanon when she was crowned as Miss Tourism Philippines Universe at the national pageant organized by Amy Sunio-Abarquez and staged at Tan Ville Garden Resort in Rosario, Batangas last October 31, 2021.
“The Philippines has been eyed as one of the most competitive in beauty pageants. Having the chance to be the representative of our country made my consciousness more driven to share how beautiful our country is; not only as a top tourist destination, being rich in history, natural wonders and cultural traditions that encourage unity in the face of diversity,” Labasan said after the pageant. “This advocacy will always be worth the time and effort to uplift our travel and tourism industry, while at the same time proudly raising our flag on the world pageant stage.”

Your feat boosts our efforts at Miss Tourism Philippines in promoting the vast potentials of our beautiful, yet not fully explored tourist destinations that our country has to offer,” Miss Abarquez said. “Rest assured that we shall not waiver in our mission to be a partner of the Philippines’ tourism sector and boost the industry.”
Meanwhile, Miss Tourism Queen Worldwide Philippines 2021 Lucky Faye Angelie Erese from Quirino Province is gearing up for the forthcoming Miss Tourism Queen Worldwide 2022 to be held in Malaysia this coming October 19-24.
The glittering finals will be held at the World Trade Center in Kuala Lumpur on October 23, 2022.
Like Abegail, Lucky Faye won at the same pageant held in Rosario, Batangas last October.
Born in Santiago, Isabela 21 years ago, Faye is a graduating student at Saint Mary’s University in Bayombong, Nueva Vizcaya taking up Bachelor of Science in Tourism Management.
Faye started joining pageants since she pre-teen days and won as Binibining Quirino in 2019 en route to her winning feat at Miss Tourism Philippines that has been postponed until last year because of the pandemic.
Faye is in the last legs of her intensive pageant training for Q and A under Jerries Discocho and Nick Rojas, and for pasarela and makeup by Jasper Lannu of Nueva Vizcaya.
Faye is bringing her personal advocacy of social media enforcement and media literacy in the pageant in Malaysia.
“We are wishing our Queen Lucky Faye Angelie only the best in her forthcoming Miss Tourism Queen Worldwide in Malaysia,” enthused Miss Abarquez, who is also the organizer of the upcoming pageant in Kuala Lumpur. “I am confident that she will represent our country with pride and honor. It’s time for Quirino to shine!”
