RHEEMA Alfonso Adakkoden, 21, from Naga City and representing the Province of Camarines Sur, was crowned as Miss Bicolandia 2022, topping the field of 20 finalists from all over the region in glittering ceremonies at the Jesse M. Robredo Coliseum that concluded the annual pageant, the first to be staged after a hiatus of two years because of the pandemic.
Naga City Mayor Nelson Legacion gave the opening remarks to one of the most prestigious beauty searches this side of the archipelago.
A 5-foot-8 stunner, Adakkoden was also named Miss Photogenic and won her second regional pageant, the first being Miss Kaogma, which she won in 2018. She was crowned by Miss Bicolandia 2019 Paulina Labayo.
Runners-up to Adakkoden are: Mary Joy A. Darilay (Naga City), first; Jeanette L. Reyes (Pasacao, Camarines Sur), second; Iris I. Oresca (Naga City), 3rd; and Margarette Briton (Tabaco City, Albay), fourth.
Directed by Andrew Duma-up, the pageant was co-hosted by the reigning Miss Globe Maureen Montagne, reigning Miss Intercontinental Cindy Obeñita and Billy Jake Cortez.
In the panel of judges were Miss Intercontinental 2014 2nd runner-up Kris Tiffany Janson, Miss World Philippines president Arnold Vegafria and Mutya ng Pilipinas president Cory Quirino.

The search for the candidates for the 52nd Mutya ng Pilipinas continues with regional searches already held or currently being held all over the country as well as by franchise holders in select cities and provinces and overseas Filipino communities.
Last September 3, despite of bad weather, the regional search for North and Central Luzon at the Subic Bay Yacht Club at the Subic Bay Freeport Zone yielded beauties from Bataan, Tarlac, Olongapo, Zambales, Subic and even Iloilo where the aspirants showcased the beauty of their roots, shared their purposeful advocacies and their preparations for their quest for a Mutya crown.
On September 9, the Visayas Regionals will be held at CWC Interiors Cebu Flagship Store at Cebu Business Park in Cebu City.
On September 15, the Mindanao Regionals will be held at CWC Interiors Davao Flagship Store at Mati IT Park in Davao City.
