BINIBINING Pilipinas turns up the heat as the 34 official candidates this year blazed in the pre-pageant swimsuit presentation aired last Friday.
Inspired by the Paru-Paro Festival of Dasmariñas, Cavite, the candidates showcased their fierce catwalk at the poolside of Novotel Manila Araneta City in stunning yellow swimsuit by Domz Ramos. Miss Grand International 2020 first runner-up Samantha Mae Bernardo headlined the event while wearing butterfly wings by Jomar Peralta and a headpiece by Manny Halasan.
The reigning Binibining Pilipinas queens — Binibining Pilipinas Universe 2019 Gazini Ganados, Binibining Pilipinas Grand International 2019 Aya Abesamis, Binibining Pilipinas Globe 2019 Leren Bautista, Binibining Pilipinas Intercontinental 2019 Emma Tiglao, and Binibining Pilipinas International 2019 Patch Magtanong — also graced the event.
The battle for the best bods and winning walks was as close as it could get and a confident stance was the only way to pick those who stood out. Our picks: Meiji Cruz of Valenzuela, Maureen Montagne of Padre Garcia, Batangas; Micca Rosal of Agoncillo, Batangas; Gabrielle Basiano of Borongan, Eastern Samar and Patrizia Garcia of Manila. Our hats off to Justine Felizarta of Davao del Sur for braving this round after undergoing surgery barely a week before.
The pre-pageant swimsuit presentation was aired just weeks before the coronation night of the 57th edition of the premiere beauty tilt, which will take place on July 11 at the Araneta Coliseum. The event is set to make herstory as Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray and Miss Grand International 2016 first runner-up Nicole Cordoves will be the first all-female tandem to host the pageant’s finale.
This year’s pageant will crown four queens with the titles of Binibining Pilipinas International, Binibining Pilipinas Grand International, Binibining Pilipinas Intercontinental, and Binibining Pilipinas Globe.
The grand coronation night will be aired on A2Z, Kapamilya Channel, I Want TFC, and Metro Channel, and will be simultaneously livestreamed on YouTube.
