Aliwan Fiesta Digital Queen 2020 picks 9 finalists

ALIWAN Digital Fiesta Queen 2020, the special online edition of Manila Broadcasting Company’s iconic brand of cultural entertainment, has announced the 9 finalists who will continue their quest during the weekly competitions this month. They are:
Candidate no.1 is Jasmine Omay, 21, from Tarlac, a 5-foot-10 stunner is now studying to be an aviation pilot.

Candidate no.2 is Bianca Wilhelmina Willemsen, from Consolacion, Cebu, 21-year-old student at Cebu Technological University, Candidate no. 3 is Jannarie Zarzoso, 21, from Cabadbaran, Agusan del Norte. She is an Accounting Technology (magna cum laude) graduate from the Fr. Saturnino Urios University, and in Accountancy from the Surigao Education Center. A psoriasis warrior who loves public speaking and travelling, Hannah plays the piano and runs a small business in her hometown called Nami, which specializes in milk tea concoctions.

Candidate no. 4 is Alana Monica Rhedey, 20, of Baguio City, student of University of the Cordilleras.

Candidate no. 5 is Nicole Angela Crescini, 20, who carries the torch for Boracay, Aklan. Nics is a student at Far Eastern University. This island girl has chosen the Malaynon Ati Tribe as her special charity.

Candidate no. 6 is Katrina Johnson, 22, from Davao, a Pharmacy and spoken word enthusiast.

Candidate no. 7 is Esperanza Francisco, 25, from Naga City,a front office manager of Avenue Hotel in Naga City.

Candidate no. 8 is Sharon Idone, 19, from Iloilo City, freshman Financial Management student at the University of San Agustin.

Finally, candidate no.9 is Alyssa May Nicholls, 18, from Isulan, Sultan Kudarat, a senior high school student.

These nine lovely ladies will compete in three successive weekly episodes streamed live on MBC’s social media platforms via the Facebook pages of Aliwan Fiesta, Love Radio, Yes The Best, Easy Rock and Radyo Natin. The competition segments will also be aired over DZRH News Television.

On Sept. 12, the candidates will manifest Pride of Place as they show how well-versed they are in the culture, customs, and traditions of their respective regions. On Sept. 19, they will showcase their talents in the visual and performing arts, or special skills in athletics and the culinary arts. On Sept. 26, following the modeling competition, they will be grilled by the jury in the much-awaited question-and-answer portion.

The winners will be announced and awarded on October 3. The Aliwan Fiesta Digital Queen 2020 will receive P50,000, first runner up P25,000, and the second runner up P15,000. All three will likewise receive the counterpart amounts for their respective chosen charities, while the six other candidates will take home consolation prizes. Special awards for Netizens Choice, Miss Unique Smile, Miss Tibay Tanduay, Miss Charm, and Miss White Rose are also in the offing.
