After a two-year break, TV5’s beloved “Videoke Kantawanan Show,” “Sing Galing,” is back with a grand new season that promises exciting updates, fresh faces, and a thrilling format.
Known for showcasing exceptional musical talent, the show will feature a star-studded cast and new elements designed to engage both loyal fans and a younger audience. The official introduction of the new season’s roster was revealed during the “Media Videoke-Con” at Rockstar KTV in Greenhills on February 17.
While the iconic “Singmasters” — Randy Santiago, K Brosas, and Donita Nose — return to guide the show, this season brings something extra: a new generation of talent. The panel of “Jukebosses” is expanding, and in addition to returning powerhouses like Ariel Rivera, Allan K, Jessa Zaragoza, Ethel Booba, and OPM legend Rey Valera, who returns as Head Jukeboss, four new voices are now part of the team. This season welcomes iconic singer Ella May Saison, soulful siren Nina, vocal powerhouse Mitoy Yonting and multi-awarded songwriter Vehnee Saturno. With their extensive musical backgrounds, these new “Jukebosses” are set to raise the stakes and inspire the contestants to aim for the title of the next “Ultimate Bida-Oke Star.”
In a bold move to capture the attention of a younger audience, “Sing Galing” has tapped into the power of social media. Joining the show as the official “Singtokers” are viral sensations Queenay, Gab Pascual, Ari G, and Yanyan De Jesus. These social media influencers will bring a fresh, lively energy to the show, ensuring that the younger generation is well represented and engaged throughout the season.
Another exciting new development is the return of “Sing Galing’s” first-ever grand champion, Marimar, who will co-host the show’s companion online program, “Now Zending,” alongside Zendee. This dynamic duo will offer fans exclusive digital content, behind-the-scenes access, and special features, giving them a closer look at the competition and keeping the excitement alive even outside of the on-air broadcast.
This season, “Sing Galing” promises even more thrills with a larger stage, a powerful panel of “Jukebosses,” and a format that highlights the rich musical culture of the Philippines. As the show’s tagline suggests, “Kaya mong abutin ang tono ng tagumpay!” — everyone has a shot at becoming a champion.
TV5’s “Sing Galing” will premiere on March 1, and air every Saturday at 5:45 p.m.
