LOSING weight is never easy. But try doing it in front of millions of fans.
Singer-songwriter Moira dela Torre turned heads as she was unveiled as the latest BonaSlim endorser at a grand press con last March 19.
Soft-spoken as ever, the 30-year-old opened up about her weigh-loss journey, which started four years ago.
“Sinubukan ko ‘yung intermittent fasting. Pero when I stopped putting pressure on myself, kumalma ang katawan ko. I started losing weight gradually. Alam kasi ng katawan natin kapag naaalagaan siya ng tama. Alam ng katawan natin kapag minamahal siya ng tama,” she said.
The pounds shed as she started looking after herself, said Moira.
“It wasn’t anything quick. It started from within. Ang daming magagandang change na nagbago. I didn’t realize this is something I could do,” she recalled.
“Self love is not a selfish thing. To the people who are trying to lose weight, I wat you to care more about yourself. It had to take so much time to think that I was beautiful before.
And then, the physical change happened. We are beautiful,” she continued.
“For people who are going on a journey that I had been on, don’t be too hard on yourself.
Be unapologetic when it comes to choosing yourself. It’s not a bad thing.”
