GMA Integrated News will air the second part of “Biyaheng Totoo: Sana sa Eleksyon 2025” this Saturday, May 3, at 9:30 p.m., hosted by award-winning journalist Vicky Morales. The segment, led by reporters Raffy Tima and Ivan Mayrina, highlights critical issues including job availability, OFW rights, and food security.

Tima’s segment, “Magandang Trabaho at Kabuhayan,” examines the challenges faced by Filipinos seeking work abroad, featuring stories of those risking everything for a better life. It also discusses the nearly two million unemployed Filipinos, according to the Philippine Statistics Authority, with job creation topping voters’ priorities for the 2025 elections.

Meanwhile, Mayrina’s “Sapat at Abot-Kayang Pagkain” looks at the struggles of Filipino farmers and fisherfolk in Tarlac and Pangasinan, revealing that one in four lives in poverty. The segment also addresses the Philippines’ highest food insecurity rate in Southeast Asia, impacting over 51 million Filipinos. Mayrina highlights the delayed government support and the daily hardships of small vendors.

Tima, in the segment “Sana sa Eleksyon 2025: Magandang Trabaho at Kabuhayan,” delves into the plight of Filipinos who risk everything for better opportunities abroad. He shares the stories of those who have faced danger and hardship in their pursuit of a brighter future for their families. This segment explains the alarming statistics from the Philippine Statistics Authority, which reported nearly two million unemployed Filipinos as of February.

Meanwhile, Mayrina, in “Sana sa Eleksyon 2025: Sapat at Abot-Kayang Pagkain sa Hapag-Kainan,” travels to Tarlac and Pangasinan, to expose the harsh realities faced by Filipino farmers and fisherfolk. Despite being the backbone of the country’s food supply, one in every four farmers and fisherfolk lives in poverty. Mayrina also shares the story of Jonathan, a rice farmer who has been waiting over six weeks for the National Food Authority to purchase his harvest, illustrating how delayed government support is, forcing many to sell at a loss. The documentary also focuses on the struggles of small-time vendors like Dominic and Maricel, who live day-to-day collecting and selling junk, barely surviving on their meager earnings.

As the 2025 elections draw near, the documentary underscores the growing calls for change. “Biyaheng Totoo: Sana sa Eleksyon 2025” will air this Saturday at 9:30 p.m. on GMA and livestreamed on GMA Integrated News’ social media platforms.
