After a successful first season, GMA and Ajinomoto Philippines Corporation’s (APC) 10-minute cooking show “Eat Well, Live Well. Stay Well.” returns for a second season beginning July 2.

Coinciding with GMA and APC’s mission to contribute to the greater wellness of Filipino families especially during this pandemic, “Eat Well, Live Well. Stay Well.” is back to offer new and exciting recipes and to impart that leading a healthy lifestyle is attainable despite the limitations of the new normal.

The weekly cooking show features Iya Villania-Arellano — a young mom and homemaker who is inspired to share interesting and exciting recipes to other “Mamazing Moms” like her; and Chef Jose “Cuz” Sarasola — a chef passionate about sharing delicious and nutritious dishes that can help people stay healthy and well.

Following their fun and thorough training in the previous season, Mom Iya and her teacher Chef Cuz collaborate on a project to develop delicious, nutritious, and budget-friendly dishes that they can share with other moms with the help of Aji-No-Moto Umami Seasoning, Aji-Ginisa Flavor Seasoning Mix, and Sarsaya Oyster Sauce.

Now equipped with more advanced cooking techniques, Iya shares what has changed in her cooking habits. “I have definitely become so much more confident and comfortable being in the kitchen. Dati parang nagpo-procrastinate pa ako. Now, it’s such a joy to be in the kitchen even if I don’t know or have nothing exactly prepared, I look forward to experimenting. Ganoon na kalakas ang loob ko. I’m not afraid to veer away from the recipe and to experiment and try something new.”

Chef Jose, in turn, teases viewers on what to expect in the new season and shares his realizations while doing the show, “Itong recipes na inihanda namin for this season ay talagang sobrang sarap and kakaiba, and the good thing about them is that they’re really budget-friendly and kayang-kaya gawin ng ating Kapuso viewers. Hindi na kailangang lagyan ng twist kasi sa recipes pa lang, panalo na. As a chef, it’s a continuous learning process. Even being a chef, I still learn new things and new combination of different ingredients when I cook. It’s been a fun experience so far — two seasons and we’re really just enjoying new things together.”

The latest season of “Eat Well, Live Well. Stay Well.” airs every Friday, 11:20 a.m., beginning July 2, on GMA.
