How Binibinis stay strong and radiant

As 36 hopefuls prepare to take the stage for Binibining Pilipinas 2024 on June 15 at the Araneta Coliseum, they’re getting more than just pageant training — they’re also getting a boost in wellness from My Daily Collagen, a proudly Japanese-made functional drink brought to the Philippines by Global Wellness Enterprises.

For Anna Perez, president of Global Wellness Enterprises, beauty and wellness are deeply intertwined. “When you truly know yourself — your purpose and your worth — you’re already close to success,” Perez said in an interview last June 2 in Cubao. “That’s something I always tell my team. Beauty isn’t just physical; it’s holistic. It’s how you treat people, your beliefs, your confidence even with imperfections.”

This year marks the second time My Daily Collagen has partnered with Binibining Pilipinas Charities, Inc. (BPCI).

According to Oliver Salas, the brand’s chief sales officer, Binibining Pilipinas already had eyes on the brand, thanks to past queens who used the product and experienced its benefits firsthand. He said, “Before Binibining Pilipinas Charities, Inc. even approached us, they had already evaluated our product. “They were very honest — they had looked at many collagen brands. But what convinced them was the trust built through past beauty queens who were already using My Daily Collagen.”

This year, the collaboration began in April, with all 36 candidates given the opportunity to experience the collagen drink as part of their daily regimen leading up to coronation night.

“Letting the candidates experience the benefits firsthand is key,” said Oliver said. “It’s not just about looking good — it’s about feeling your best. The feedback has been consistent and overwhelmingly positive, which is why we’ve renewed our partnership with BPCI.”

But the impact of My Daily Collagen goes beyond skin-deep. Perez, a registered nurse who is passionate about upgrading the Filipino market’s wellness experience, envisions a future where functional beverages like theirs become as commonplace as bottled water or soda. “Imagine walking into a 7-Eleven and choosing a drink not just because you’re thirsty—but because you want to glow today, or feel more energized tomorrow,” she said. “That’s the lifestyle we’re bringing in.”

With a price point of P168, My Daily Collagen is already available in major retailers like Mercury Drug, Watsons, Landers, Shopwise and The Marketplace. “We’ve even helped open a new category in grocery shelves—functional drinks,” Perez added. “And there’s more coming soon, like a new lychee-flavored placenta drink, also made in Japan.”

For those still unsure about collagen’s benefits, Salas is quick to clear up the misconception that it’s a female-only product. “That’s exactly why we chose Piolo Pascual as our first endorser. We needed to correct the perception that collagen is only for women,” he explained. “Collagen supports joint health, muscle recovery, immune strength, and even heart health — not to mention sleep quality.”

My Daily Collagen’s drink formula includes a carefully chosen blend of ingredients: high-quality collagen, royal jelly, elastin, hyaluronic acid, ceramide and essential vitamins. There’s also the Pico Tablet variant, designed with ultra-small collagen molecules for better absorption.

“But you have to be consistent with it, especially to feel the internal effects,” Perez stressed. And consistency is exactly what candidates need. “It’s not easy to join a pageant,” she said. “The training, the pressure, it’s intense.”

On and off the stage, candidates reported better energy levels and boosted glow. “By coronation night, you could really see the difference,” Perez recalled.

As the candidates walk toward the crown, they do so with an extra glow —not just from makeup and training, but from a product that wants Filipinos to look and feel their best from the inside out.
