Ginebra San Miguel introduced Heaven Peralejo as the face of its 2024 calendar during a festive media launch at The Westin Manila in Mandaluyong City last November 30.

Known for her stellar performances in “Nananahimik ang Gabi” and “The Rain in España,” Heaven is set to embody the spirit of the iconic brand throughout the coming year.
The 2024 Ginebra San Miguel Calendar, themed “Philippine Fiesta,” captures the essence of six vibrant festivals – Panagbenga, Lantern Festival, Higantes Festival, Pintados Festival, Kadayawan Festival, and Masskara Festival. Each layout showcases Heaven in various festive settings, reflecting the rich tapestry of Filipino culture.
During the launch, Heaven expressed her joy for having been chosen as Ginebra’s calender girl. “It’s a dream come true, my first drink is also my first big endorsement.”
The actress shared her personal connection with Ginebra, recalling that gin bilog with pineapple juice was her first drink at 18.
Ron Molina, GSMI marketing manager, highlighted that the 2024 calendar represents optimism, unity, and the anticipation of brighter days ahead. Paolo Jose Tupaz, GSMI group product manager, commended Heaven’s authenticity, perseverance, courage, and zest for life, qualities that perfectly align with the brand.
The six festival-themed layouts include “Panagbenga,” set in Baguio’s renowned flower-themed festival, showcasing Heaven amid vibrant floral displays. “Lantern Festival” depicts her against a backdrop of giant lanterns, symbolizing the brilliance of light and hope. In “Higantes Festival,” the actress takes center stage amidst larger-than-life puppets in Angono, Rizal, aligning with Ginebra’s commitment to excellence.
“Pintados Festival” draws inspiration from the historical festival in Leyte, where Heaven is portrayed alongside intricate body paintings. The “Kadayawan Festival” layout in Davao City celebrates life and thanksgiving, featuring Heaven amid an abundance of fruits and vegetables. Finally, the “Masskara Festival” in Bacolod captures Heaven with big, vibrant masks and outfits, reflecting Ginebra’s “never-say-die” attitude.
The 2024 GSM calendar, beyond its artistic showcase, also holds a dual significance as Ginebra San Miguel commemorates its 190th anniversary. A QR code on the calendar allows consumers to access behind-the-scenes videos of Heaven’s photoshoots and a special message to her fans and followers.
The Ginebra San Miguel Calendar Girl tradition, dating back to 1988, continues strong with Heaven Peralejo following in the footsteps of beauty queens and actresses who have graced the calendar over the years. The calendar not only serves as a visual delight but also as a celebration of nearly two centuries of crafting iconic moments and flavors that have become an integral part of Filipino festivities.
