Some of the country’s biggest P-pop and OPM stars are set to perform at Alagang Suki Fest 2025, a one-night-only concert happening on July 31 at 5 p.m. at the Smart Araneta Coliseum. The event celebrates the 80th anniversary of two of the Philippines’ most trusted healthcare brands, Unilab and Mercury Drug, and serves as a thank-you to loyal customers who have supported them across generations.
Leading the star-studded lineup is OPM icon Gary Valenciano, joined by P-pop sensation BINI, acclaimed alt-rock band Mayonnaise and Gen Z favorites Darren Espanto and Maki. With such a diverse and multi-generational roster, the concert promises to blend nostalgia with fresh energy, appealing to both long-time fans and younger audiences.
According to Claire De Leon Papa, head of External Affairs and Social Partnerships of Unilab Inc., the lineup was shaped by customer feedback and a desire to reflect what their loyal audience genuinely enjoys. “Ang malaking consideration ‘yung kung ano ba ‘yung timpla ng publiko — kung sino ba ‘yung mga artists na gusto ng mga tao, especially ang mga suki natin,” Papa explained. “That’s why you have the likes of Gary Valenciano, BINI, Mayonnaise and our generation’s artists like Maki and Darren Espanto.”
She emphasized that the team took the public pulse seriously to ensure the lineup would resonate with longtime patrons and new fans alike. “This is really more of a treat to our Suki. Isang pasasalamat ng Unilab at Mercury Drug para sa kanilang mga suki, and hopefully, maraming makaka-join, kasama na kayong lahat.”
To get free tickets, members of the Alagang Unilab Rewards program and Mercury Drug Suki Card holders need to buy participating Unilab OTC products — such as Immunpro, Enervon, Ceelin, Biogesic, Alaxan and Myra — at any Mercury Drug store and earn at least 100 points. Members must use their Suki Card upon purchase, upload receipts via Alagang Unilab Rewards’ Facebook Messenger (up to three receipts per day), and will then receive a unique code to redeem tickets through Ticketnet. Each member can redeem up to three tickets, and the promo runs until July 20, 2025 or while supplies last.
Beyond the celebration, the event highlights a broader message of wellness and community. Claire Papa shared that at 80, Unilab’s focus has expanded to include not just treatment but also prevention and overall health awareness. “Dati ang pinag-uusapan lang natin kapag may sakit ka na, but now, tumataas ang awareness about prevention. Vitamins, for example, are part of that conversation. Wellness is very much top of mind now.”
She also pointed to the increasing importance of mental health, especially in the wake of the pandemic. “In the last few years, especially during the pandemic, poor mental health is being discussed already. Unlike before hindi siya masyadong napag-uusapan. But right now there is a growing concern and increasing awareness about mental health. There’s acceptance, kasi before ‘di ito pinag-uusapan because of stigma. But now slowly napapag-usapan na sya, kasi it’s really there, it’s causing problems.”
