Gardo Versoza is feeling better after a recent heart attack.
Kung ‘di kami nakapag Tiktok sa set, malamang natuluyan na ako,” the actor, famous for his hilarious dancing Tiktok videos, deadpanned at the press con of the TV5 sitcom “Jack and Jill sa Diamond Hills” last Tuesday.
Gardo was actually all set to go to the set of “Jack and Jill” when he felt searing pain on his back, prompting his wife Ivy to tell him to go to the doctor to have himself checked.
It happened suddenly, recalled the actor.
Right then and there ginawa ang procedure.”
The first blockage was cleared, while the second will need to be scheduled soon. In the meantime, Gardo decided to sell some of his exercise equipment since he was advised to take it easy and avoid lifting heavy things. The amount from the sale will also help fund his second angioplasty.
He was being practical, added the actor, since the equipment will just gather dust.
“‘Yung iba na mi-misinterpret,” said Gardo, “Sinisita nga ako ni Kumander [his wife Ivy], bakit kinakailaogan mo gawin ‘yan?
Some malicious netizens started the rumor that he had died. He would have let the ugly rumor slide, but his loved ones are naturally affected by it.
Brush off mo lang.
On the other hand, Gardo said the prayers and wishes of good health far outnumber the malicious rumors. He is especially thankful for all the help of “Jack and Jill sa Diamond Hills” producer APT as well as the sitcom’s director, John Lapus, and his co-stars.
“Jack and Jill sa Diamond Hills” features Jake Cuenca and Sue Ramirez as two undercover cops who are out to unmask and apprehend the elusive Alyas Sexbomb, who has been distributing a dangerous drug known as “Happy P” throughout the Diamond Hills subdivision where the quirky characters of Ara Mina, DJ Onse, Nana Silayro, Nico Antonio, DJ Jhai Ho, Hershey Neri and Gardo live. The Sunday sitcom airs on TV5 and premieres on May 14, 6 p.m.
