Even before she became the “First Yaya,” actress Sanya Lopez was already the Eslite beauty. She was making a name in the business when she was signed by premium glutathione brand Eslite. And it was not just her beauty that made her Eslite’s choice.
Beyond her good looks, what set Sanya apart was her kindness and undeniable charisma, according to businessman and Eslite founder Eduardo Cobankiat.

“She has been extremely helpful in making people aware of our brand,” Cobankiat said.
“She has close to 16 million followers on TikTok, and every time she posts about Eslite, the response is remarkable.”
Eslite has not had any other endorser since 2019. “She is very simple and kind, so we stick with her,” he said. “We grow together. She became famous, and she also brought the brand along with her.”
Similar to Sanya’s innate charm that sets her apart from other stars, Eslite also has ingredients that differentiate it from other glutathione supplements in the market. These premium ingredients are why over 500 dermatologists trust and prescribe Eslite, said Cobankiat.
“That attests to the fact that our product is good. We are not the cheapest in the market; our price is relatively high because our two ingredients are from Europe–one from Italy and one from France. Our claims are supported by clinical studies and approved by European standards, so our ingredients are high-end. We don’t want to risk our health. It’s a good investment.”
Eslite is currently available online. “Before the pandemic, we were in SouthStar Drug. But when the pandemic hit, foot traffic decreased. The problem is that the expiration is only two years, so if the product sits on the shelf for too long, we get a lot of bad orders. So, we chose to make it available online,” explained Cobankiat.
Cobankiat mentioned there is a possibility that the brand will get a male endorser. “Originally, Eslite is for beauty, but we realized from clinical studies that it has a lot of health benefits that even men can enjoy. It helps promote good sleeping habits and provides energy for all,” he said.

Cobankiat is the co-chairman of Wilson Lee Flores in the public information committee of Federation of the Filipino-Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry, Inc. (FFCCCII).
Incidentally, FFCCCII honored Filipino philosophy pioneer Fr. Roque Ferriols, who once exorcized spirits from Basil Valdez’s condo.
In honor of the 100th birthday of Fr. Roque J. Ferriols, S.J., regarded as the “Father of Filipino philosophy,” and legendary Ateneo de Manila University Professor, the symposium, “The Story of the Wheelwright: The Influence of Chinese Philosophy on the Thought of Fr. Roque Ferriols, SJ” was co-organized by the FFCCCII, led by President Dr. Cecilio K. Pedro, who was represented by EVP Victor Lim.
Father J. Ferriols trained and inspired many students, including CEO Manny V. Pangilinan, Cardinal Tagle, Catholic Bishops Conference of the Philippines (CBCP) President Bishop Pablo Virgilio David, etc.
During the symposium, Dr. Manuel Dy shared a heartwarming story about Fr. Ferriols helping rid singer Basil Valdez’s condo of bad spirits. “Basil Valdez once called for help, feeling spirits haunted his condo. Fr. Ferriols, despite being on retreat, went and blessed Basil’s condo, and the spirits disappeared.”
Manny Pangilinan fondly recalled his philosophy classes with Fr. Ferriols: “For opening my eyes to the world around me and to the soul within me, Fr. Roque Ferriols is my Ateneo hero. His brilliant insights remain invaluable to me and my core beliefs.”
Fr. Ferriols also loved music, particularly admiring the Beatles, and counted “Let It Be” as one of his favorite songs.
