In recognition of National Children’s Month and the Awareness Month for Violence Against Women and Children, “CIA with BA’s” “Yes or No” segment highlighted issues concerning women’s and children’s rights.
Senator Pia Cayetano affirmed, “Yes, pwede niyang kasuhan,” explaining that both physical and economic abuse are punishable.
Meanwhile, Tim raised a question about child labor in family businesses, which Senator Alan Peter Cayetano clarified under Republic Act 9231, as amended by R.A. 11996, is legal as long as it does not harm the child or hinder their development.
The Cayetanos concluded with reminders on supporting Filipino families. “Let’s find ways na palakasin ang mga pamilyang Pilipino,” Alan said, with Pia adding, “Let’s make this a better place for women and children.”
“CIA with BA” airs Sundays at 11 p.m. on GMA7, with replays on GTV every Saturday at 10:30 p.m.
