GMA’s fantasy drama series “Encantadia” is set to premiere on Viu Philippines this August.
The 2016 series features Marian Rivera as Ynang Reyna Mine-a, Glaiza de Castro as Pirena, Sanya Lopez as Danaya, Gabbi Garcia as Alena, and Kylie Padilla as Amihan, alongside John Arcilla as Hagorn.
Set in the magical world of Encantadia, the series follows four royal sisters, known as Sang’gres, who guard gemstones that maintain peace in the Kingdom of Lireo. Each sister protects and controls a gemstone representing fire, air, water, and earth.
Though bonded by sisterhood, their unity is tested as the eldest, Pirena, is expected to lead the kingdom. Her ambition and desire for power cause concern for their mother, Ynang Reyna Mine-a. Conflict erupts when Pirena’s father, Hagorn, the dark king of Hathoria, seeks to use the gemstones to conquer Encantadia.
“Encantadia” unreels on Viu starting August 12.
