Vivamax gives daring star Ava Mendez her biggest break via “Domme,” now showing on the streaming platform.
Directed by “cult director” Roman Perez, Jr., “Domme” features Ava playing the challenging role as a professional dominatrix, a woman paid to be the dominant role in BDSM activities.
“Naintriga ako,” said Ava on finding out the subject of the movie, “And first starring role ko, so na-challenge ako.””¨“Somme” follows the story of Cholo (Ali Asistio), a customer service agent who moves to Manila for better opportunities. Every night in his new condo, he would hear loud noises and screams, as if a couple was fighting from a nearby unit. Out of curiosity, Cholo spies on his neighbors and discovers their secret. The noises he hears are not because of a couple’s quarrel but from the extreme pleasure and wild erotic practices performed by a dominatrix named Estelle (Ava) to Raymond (Mark Anthony Fernandez), Cholo’s neighbor.
As Cholo interferes with Estelle and Raymond’s business, the more he gets involved in their lives, and more so, into their mess.
Before she took on the role, Ava said had to do some research and undergo workshop.
“Akala ko, hindi ko makakaya, pero nakaya ko naman, with the help of Direk Roman Perez and my co-star Mark Anthony Fernandez. I did my own research and nalaman ko, may mga dominatrix pala talaga rito sa Pilipinas,” she revealed.”¨“Before the shooting started, we had a workshop. Tapos, nag-brainstorming kami where we all contributed our ideas about the making of the movie. Masarap katrabaho si Direk Roman, kasi very hands on siya. Parang tatay siya at mga anak ang treatment niya sa amin. Noong una, naiilang pa ako sa mga pinagagawa niya sa akin. Pero nang tumagal, nage-enjoy na ako.”
In real life, Ava is bold enough to enter the world of BDSM.
“In real life, game naman ako, adventuruous naman ako, so feeling ko, parang kaya ko na hindi ko kaya, pero parang gusto kong i-try. Curious ako, kasi hindi ko alam kung paano talaga ang mga ginagawa nila,” she said.
“Domme” also stars Marco Gomez and Ada Hermosa.
