Singer-songwriter Teddy Travis opens a new chapter with his EP “Decluttering.”
Singer-songwriter Teddy Travis marks a new chapter in his creative journey as he launches a new EP that includes “Care,” “Cruise Control,” “I’m Here” and “Fool For You” — all of which embody his trademark soothing R&B sound.
The new EP, “Decluterring,” can now be streamed on the different music platforms. “I named it ‘Decluttering’ because it’s a collection of songs I’ve been holding onto for years,” explains Teddy. “Just like decluttering a space, I’m letting go of these emotions and experiences and sharing them. These songs reflect on past feelings and moments my friends and I have gone through.”
Since embarking on a music career in late 2022, the football player/independent artist has released 14 tracks. Many of these are inspired by experiences, both his own and his friends’. For example, “Somehow” (released in 2022) — his most popular track to date —was composed after he suffered a rejection. “(It’s) about being lost and unsure of the future but reminding myself that everything happens for a reason and I’ll be okay.”

Today, Teddy has certainly found a more solid footing and a clearer direction. A special shout-out goes to his buddies from the La Salle Greenhills singing group Kundirana with whom he continues to work with. “Special thanks to L!FE, Joaquin Lagman, and Paolo Sandejas for helping to make my EP a reality,” says Teddy.
Joaquin Lagman a.k.a. Lags, is one of Teddy’s music producers who also contributed vocals to “Still,” another song by Teddy. Lags says, “Teddy’s strength as an artist is that he writes his own songs.”
The creative collective Nuance.ph also praised Teddy when it posted on IG: “Teddy Travis brings a sensational vibe with his soulful melodies. Keep an eye out for what he has in store for you.”
Music-wise, 2024 was a good year, as the 25-year-old singer-songwriter gained almost 4,000 new listeners from 78 different countries, who streamed his songs 22,000 times.
Teddy says, “I was only able to release three songs in 2024 yet it did better than the previous years. So much to be thankful for and excited about…”
Teddy is currently in the US to visit his younger brother Timmy.
Before flying there, Teddy was able to release a new single entitled “What’s Next,” a collab with L!FE. Once Teddy returns to Manila, there will be more songs to write and gigs to perform in. Listeners who make space for Teddy’s music can count on more works that are genuine and well thought of. “Thank you as always to everyone that has ever played any of my music,” says Teddy. “My heart is undeniably full.”
