The ABS-CBN Ball 2025 celebrated Filipino storytelling, fashion and unity, highlighting the network’s continued relevance in the industry.
The ABS-CBN Ball, previously known as the Star Magic Ball, started in 2007 and has become one of the most anticipated events in the entertainment industry. This year, the Kapamilyas went all out!
The actors, musicians, the hardworking network staff, a few politicians and some very important persons gathered and walked through the Solaire North’s red carpet – and like a “Spring Awakening,” people just had a good time and lots of memorable moments.
Much talked about on the red carpet were Anne Curtis, Nadine Lustre, Janine Gutierrez, Kim Chiu, Iza Calzado, Maris Racal, BINI, Andrea Brillantes and Elisse Joson.

Among the guys, the dapper Piolo Pascual, James Reid, Richard Gutierrez, Paulo Avelino, Donny Pangilinan and Hayden Kho were on top of the list.
Jed Madela and Erik Santos also had their moments on the red carpet as they redefined fashion, in a sense.
But two box office queens truly stole the spotlight: Kathryn Bernardo, who seemed blissfully unaware of the commotion her presence sparked among the boys, and the megastar Sharon Cuneta, whose inspiring and remarkable transformation left everyone in awe.
Despite talks of letting go of their transmitter and part of their studio properties and also on the verge of losing the ABS-CBN Sagip Pelikula Film Restoration program, it is quite a feat that ABS-CBN was able to mount a ball of this proportion with remarkably good food, good music and overflowing booze.
Dubbed as “ABS-CBN Ball 2025: Brighter Together” – the event paid tribute to the stories that inspire, entertain and uplift, while reflecting the lives, hopes and dreams of Filipinos worldwide.

Aside from honoring the stars and people who bring these stories to life, the ABS-CBN Ball also shines a spotlight on the dedicated individuals behind the scenes — employees and creatives — whose passion and talent help elevate Filipino storytelling, and industry partners—networks, digital platforms, and advertisers — who help bring meaningful stories to more audiences worldwide.
As always, this year’s ball is an event with a cause: a portion of the proceeds will support the ABS-CBN Foundation’s programs.
If anything, it was a grand reunion of Kapamilyas, both old and new, coming together to say ‘we are still here, still active, productive, and relevant — leading the way in content creation.’
As a plot twist, let’s indulge in some wishful thinking: What if ABS-CBN’s franchise were reinstated as a gesture of rectifying the “mistakes” made by the previous administration? Would they still be up for it?
Are we ready to roll the red carpet for the Kapamilya network once again?
