Former Quezon City Mayor Herbert Bautista said he is happy for Kris Aquino and her rumored ka-LDR (long-distance relationship), Batangas Vice Governor Mark Leviste.
The ex mayor was asked about his ex-girlfriend’s rumored romance at the wake of the mother of YouTube vlogger and showbiz columnist Aster Amoyo last May 18 in Caloocan.
“Good luck and best wishes,” he said.
“Sana gumaling na sya,” he added.
When asked about his personal life, the former local government executive said he is enjoying time with his kids, two of which have followed in his footsteps in showbiz.
He is also cooking up a new project – a possible movie which he himself will write and direct.
It’s a historical drama that will touch on the lives of two of the most influential families in the land, as well as focus on the impact of these families’ feud on the ordinary Filipino.
The script is the one which he submitted to National Artist Ricky Lee when he was under Lee’s scriptwriting class. Bistek is also looking forward to studying directing.
Bistek shared what director Richard Somes (“Corazon: Ang Unang Aswang,” “Shake, Rattle and Roll” 13 and 2k5) told him about directing: “Number 1, it has to be universal. Number 2, ‘di ka pwede gumawa ng local hero. Number 3, kahit na dark ginagawa ko, dapat glossy [ang itsura], something na hindi pa nakikita ng mga Filipino…”
