THEY are currently the favorite topics in show — the engagement of Sarah Geronimo to Matteo Guidicelli and Anne Curtis’ pregnancy.
Anne was overcome with emotion when she made the announcement in “It’s Showtime” this week. She shed tears of joy as the whole “It’s Showtime” family congratulated her on her pregnancy. She and husband Erwan Heussaff have yet to reveal the gender of their baby, but Erwan’s sister, actress Solenn Heussaff, who is pregnant with her first baby with husband Nico Bolzico, already knows she is having a girl.
Aside from the pregnancy, Anne and Erwan are celebrating their second wedding anniversary this November.

Sarah, 31, and Matteo, 29, might not tie the knot next year, because, we heard, a relative, Matteo’s elder sister, is set to wed in 2020.
“Kahit may foreign blood si Matteo (his dad’s Italian), they still seem to adhere to the Filipino belief na masama sa magkapatid ang magpakasal ng sukob sa taon,” said a kibitzer.
In the meantime, the engaged couple are preparing for big projects. Matteo is set to do his first lead role for Viva Films, “Pedro Penduko,” while Sarah is said to be making a Star Cinema movie with Daniel Padilla.

Speaking of tying the knot… Carmarines Sur Governor Miguel Luis “Migs” Villafuerte just popped the question to beauty queen Rachel Peters.
Rachel, crowned as Miss Universe Philippines 2017, announced their engagement, plus displayed her engagement ring, on her social media account.
If Governor Migs’ name sound familiar, it’s because he once expressed admiration for Sarah Geronimo.
We wonder if Imelda Papin, currently the Vice Governor of Camarines Sur, will be invited to the wedding and oblige to a song. Imelda, of course, is the country’s “Sentimental Songstress.”

Another engaged couple is actress Angel Locsin and producer Neil Arce.
Angel’s best friend, actress Dimples Romana, is said to be excited to be her matron of honor.
But aside from that, Dimples revealed that Angel has asked her to be their “wedding spokesperson.”
The task is proving to be quite difficult, said Dimples, as she has strict instruction not to reveal too much about the wedding.
“Halimbawa, kung saan at kailan talaga ito magaganap,” she remarked. “Kaya nga we can’t also reveal the date and venue of the bachelorette party we are planning for her.”
Although very busy being a wife to Boyet Ahmee and mom to two kids, the actress simply can’t say no to Angel. She is witness to the love of Neil and Angel and she was among those who helped Neil in his surprise proposal.
“And I agree, good match sila,” Dimples stated.
Dimples is, of course, one of the most exciting characters in the hit ABS-CBN series, “Kadenang Ginto,” which also stars Beauty Gonzales and Albert Martinez. She also part of the horror movie, “Block Z,” by Mikhail Red and is in the Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) 2019 entry, “The Mall, The Merrier,” topbilled by Vice Ganda, Tony Labrusca and Anne Curtis.
Aside from TV and movie assignments, she also has endorsements. Recently, she was tapped to be the face of the popular skin care brand, Skin Magical.
It is the reason for her flawless skin, she said.

Veteran actress Snooky Serna, 53, revealed she suffered from depression in the past.
“Kung hindi kumunsulta ng isang psychiatrist, baka kung napano na ako,” she said in an interview. “And now, I can say, I’m happier.”
The former child actress was only four years old when she appeared in the movie, “Wanted: Perfect Mother,” directed by the late Lino Brocka. Her late parents were both actors — the handsome Von Serna and former beauty queen Mila Ocampo.
Snooky was married twice. First to fellow actor Richard Cepeda, with whom she has two daughters, and then to Niño Mendoza.
She remains active in showbiz. She was in the GMA series, “Sahaya,” which had Bianca Umali playing the title role, and is in a new movie, which she also co-produced.
Her daughters, Sachie and Samantha, are now both working.
Snooky is currently in a relationship with a former politician from Bulacan. They have been together for four years.
