The 8th Eddys, organized by the Society of Philippine Entertainment Editors (SPEEd), will be streamed globally for the first time via ABS-CBN’s iWantTFC.
The ceremony takes place on July 20 at the Marriott Grand Ballroom in Pasay and will air on iWantTFC, Kapamilya Channel and Jeepney TV on July 27.
SPEEd president Salve Asis called the partnership with ABS-CBN “a coming home,” recalling the network’s support during the first Eddys in 2017. “With ABS-CBN’s global presence, we are confident that more people… will witness how we recognize and give importance to the pillars and icons of Philippine cinema,” she said.
This year’s Eddys will present 14 awards across performance and technical categories, plus special honors such as the Isah V. Red Award, Joe Quirino Award, and Manny Pichel Award. A tribute segment will honor a new batch of Eddys Icons, while select actors will be named Eddys Box Office Heroes.
