“Pops made an instructional video on how to make a face mask, Aicelle has returned to playing the piano, Sanya communicates with fans on social media, and Dingdong and Marian have been bonding with their kids and helping frontliners.”
IN THESE dangerous and trying times when we are told to just stay at home, it would be
best if you have your own family to keep you company. And you can easily see the blessing that this brings to Dingdong Dantes and Marian Rivera who have found heaven with each other and their two children, Zia and Ziggy.
In the no-contact online edition of “All Out Sundays,” the couple shared how they while their time away bonding as a whole family while we’re under quarantine.
“We prepare worksheets for Zia’s assignments para naman kahit nasa bahay lang, may natututuhan siya,” said Marian. “We make use of our time wisely in a way na lagi kaming magkakasama lahat. And siempre, lagi kong ipinagluluto ngayon ang aming family habang hindi ako busy with work.”
Dong and Marian showed their kids in the online show and also in the GMA Kapuso Foundation fundraiser, “Buong Puso Para sa Pilipino,” which featured other stars willing help those affected by the corona pandemic, specially the medical and military frontliners who are putting their lives at risk.
“Tungkulin nating tulungan sa panahong ito na may krisis ang ating health workers, at ‘yung mga hindi makapagtrabaho dahil sa corona quarantine,” added Dingdong, who’s currently on leave from taping his primetime action-drama, “Descendants of the Sun” (DOTS).
“It’s also our responsibility to our own selves to keep fit and healthy para hindi tayo basta tablan ng virus. Kaya nga kami ng mga kasama ko sa DOTS, Rocco Nacino, Lucho Ayala and Jon Lucas ng Alpha Team, we do our simultaneous workouts habang nasa sarili naming mga bahay. We want to show how solid our brotherhood is sa DOTS and our common goal is to improve our body’s resistance to fight the virus.”
Dingdong and Marian also helped frontliners at Quezon City General Hospital by cooking healthy meals for them. “Marian herself cooked the menudo,” said Dong and you can see the video on Instagram with Marian cooking and them repacking the cooked food for distribution. “This is our way of thanking them and honoring them for their services and dedication to their job of protecting us.”
Marian has started taping for her new series, “My First Yaya,” with Gabby Concepcion. She hopes they can resume taping it as soon as this crisis is over.

Pops Fernandez misses being one the judges in the singing contest/reality show “Centerstage.” “I miss my co-judges and the hosts led by Alden Richards,” she said. “Maganda ang samahan namin sa show. I also miss the kiddie contestants themselves. Napamahal na sila sa amin. Ngayon, ilang weeks na kaming hindi nagkikita because of the lockdown.”
Pops knows there’s a dearth in the availability of protective face masks so, in a video, she made a tutorial on how to make your own face masks with the help of designer Avel Bacudio. She posted the helpful video live on social media. The face masks she made are from handkerchiefs and old garments no longer being used.
“But first you have to wash them thoroughly to disinfect them,” she said. “We could bleach it with chlorox to make sure that whatever virus are in them will all die. And then you have to let them hang dry in the hot sun na pampatay rin ng virus.”
Her video got positive feedback from netizens who appreciated her ingenuity. “Thanks for showing us how to make home made face mask,” said one netizen. “It’s very useful. And very practical.”
Her ex-hubby, Martin Nievera, admits he has a new love but Pops said she’s been unattached for sometime. “Hindi ko naman hinahanap, so okay lang. But if someone really good would come along someday, why not?”

Aicelle Santos, co-judge of Pops Fernandez in “Centerstage,” also misses all their colleagues in the show, plus all her co-stars in “All Out Sundays” where she’s a regular in the “Tapsikret” live comedy portion.
“I miss interacting with the stars na kasama ko sa show kasi masaya kaming lahat sa set. Lalo na with Miss Pops, na never kong naisip na makakasama ko sa isang show dahil fan niya lang ako noon. Ngayon, nasa bahay lang ako lagi dahil sa lockdown and I really miss the moments with them,” she revealed.
So how does she pass the time away while at home?
“Ay, binalikan ko ang isang kaibigang medyo napabayaan ko noong sobrang busy ako dahil sa patong-patong na work schedules ko,” she said. “Binalikan ko ang dati kong laging ginagawa, playing the piano, and it’s so nice to reconnect with an old friend.”
She did a video of her singing Vanessa Carlton’s hit song, “A Thousand Miles,” while accompanying herself on the piano, then posted it on social media. The response was overwhelmingly positive. They say she gave a very relaxing performance in these stressful times and she should do more numbers with her reconnected friend.
And how’s married life with broadcaster Mark Zambrano? “Ayun, balak sana naming ituloy ang honeymoon namin this summer season, kasi hindi pa kami talaga nakakapag-honeymoon since our wedding noong November dahil busy kami sa trabaho. Plano nga namin, itong summer na ito, kaso nangyari naman itong lockdown. Bawal magbiyahe, walang mga eruplano. So tengga rin kami sa bahay, just like the rest of us, praying na matapos na itong corona virus ordeal na ating pinagdaraanan.”

Sanya Lopez said she is amused watching herself in the replay of “Encantadia 2.”
“Hindi ko makakalimutan ang show na ito, kasi breakout role ko diyan ang role ko as Danaya,” she admitted. “Dahil diyan kaya mas nakilala ako ng tao at nabigyan ako ng sarili lead roles in soaps like ‘Haplos,’ ‘Cain at Abel’ and ‘Dahil sa Pag-ibig,’ kaya memorable talaga for me ang ‘Encantadia 2.’”
Sanya is really affected by the lockdown as the playdate of her new movie, “Isa Pang Bahaghari,” has been postponed indefinitely.
“Dapat showing ito this April 11 as part of the summer Metro film fest but since hindi natuloy ‘yun, ‘di pa namin alam kung kailan ito mai-schedule uli,” she said. “Sayang nga, kasi I’m really proud of this movie dahil I get to appear for the first time with such respected actors as Nora Aunor and Phillip Salvador, who play my parents, and directed by Joel Lamangan no less. Marami kaming dramatic confrontation scenes dito, lalo na ako with Phillip Salvador kasi very bitter ako sa kanya for leaving our family when he worked abroad nung baby pa ako at hindi na siya bumalik.”
Sanya has become more active on social media and her fans like it that she communicates directly with them. “Habang lockdown tayo at hindi masyadong busy, ‘di sige, mag-post muna nang mag-post sa vlog ko. Kasi pag naging busy uli ako sa taping, then wala na naman akong mag-time para mag-post ng mga kaganapan about me.”
Her fans are also very much entertained by the TikTok videos she is posting in her own vlog.
“Hindi ko akalain na maaaliw sila. But they say, nakakapagbigay raw ng good vibes ang pagti-TikTok ko, kaya nai-inspire naman ako to do more videos. Marami ring nakagusto when I showed them my skin care routine kung paano mapapanatiling makinis at glowing ang ating balat.”
Also, you can now hear Sanya’s voice as she dubs the voice of lead character Gillian in the hit Korean drama, “My Golden Life.”
Ken Chan voices lead actor Dion in the show. They meet when they both figure in an accident and eventually fall for each other but they were both shocked when they find out that they’re actually brother and sister. Supporting them in this show are Bruno Gabriel and Ayra Mariano and it’s seen at 11:30 a.m. just before “Eat Bulaga.”

The first and second seasons of “The Clash” were hits, so it’s not surprising that there will now be a third season. Season 1 and 2 winners Golden Cañedo and Jeremy Tiangco, respectively, are now making waves in the local music industry as mainstays in “All Out Sundays.”

Applicants may be male or female, must be of Filipino heritage, between the ages of 16 and 21. If you think you have what it takes to make it as a good singer, you can now submit your audition video online. For all you know, you would be following in the footsteps of Golden and Jeremiah.
